I was excited to try sushi from this place based on high ratings. Here’s our personal experience which I’m hoping will be seen as valuable feedback with some opportunities for the business:
-Portions are quite large and have a nice presentation. We had couple sets of specialty rolls, burger, and shrimp tempura. All were quite large and good value for the cost.
– Burger is quite large, bigger than expected and might just be enough to fill 2 people. Good amount of immigration crab compared to everything else and had a good crunch.
-Shrimp tempura was crispy and enjoyed by all.
-As for the rolls, we had mango roll and dynamite. Mango was crunchy but it was not ripe which added tartness instead of that sweetness of the fruit that you would have expected. The flavor itself did not stand out. Dynamite roll appeared as though shrimp tempura inside was soggy. I’m not sure if it was freshly made and sat for some time, or perhaps tempura itself was not properly cooked as it was quite pale and soft. Definitely not what I expected. And avocado in all sushi was quite mushy.
-I’m not able to comment on the atmosphere since it’s a small place with couple seating and meant for pick up. We picked up our order.
-Order came with a lot of utensils, very generous amount of ginger, and other sauces.
I’d like to give this place benefit of a doubt considering that it’s just after the new years and might be quieter and impact food orders/food preparation. I was looking forward to trying a new place close to home. This was our first visit and I’m not certain that we would come back at this time.

We ordered from here because of the good reviews but we were extremely disappointed. It looked very promising due to the sizes of the rolls but the Philadelphia roll is entirely just cream cheese. Seriously like a toonie size amount of cream cheese just throughout the roll. The rice to meat ratio is insane and looked very promising but all the fish had a very chemical taste to them. We unfortunately will not be returning here.
I’m aware that cream cheese is a main ingredient in Philly rolls, which I love. Nobody expects an entire block of cream cheese in ANY roll that they order, regardless of whether or not it was in the description. Your description should say “half of the roll is cream cheese,” and then maybe I wouldn’t have ordered.
A restaurant who cannot take constructive criticism and feedback is extremely alarming and concerning, coming from someone who has a large amount of experience in the food industry.

These are the only truly delicious sushi I’ve had in Edmonton.
The ingredients are exceptionally fresh — the fish is incredibly tender, flavorful, and has absolutely no off taste. There is a very generous amount of fish, with large portions and beautifully made rolls. I honestly haven’t seen sushi with this much fish before.
The rolls are big, neat, and perfectly crafted. The rice has the ideal texture, the fillings are juicy, and the flavors are soft, balanced, and extremely delicate and delicious. Every bite literally melts in your mouth.
Packaging deserves special praise as well — everything is packed carefully and securely, arriving in perfect condition, just like it was served fresh at the restaurant.
When you come to pick up your order in person, you immediately feel a warm, cozy, and welcoming atmosphere. The place is clean, calm, and very pleasant, and you can tell they truly care about quality and their customers.
Highly recommended from the heart.

Excellent sushi! Usually we are ordering at Sumo Sushi in Sherwood Park only. Sushi Me SD was recommended by our friends and it’s even better. Their sets are balanced, cheesy, a lot of options to choose on a website/Uber Eats.
If you somebody’s looking for a good sushi, I’d highly recommend these guys. It’s only for a pickup or delivery.

I had a serious and dangerous experience with Sushi Me SD in Edmonton. I ordered through Uber Eats under the name Abdi. The sushi I received was clearly not fresh. After eating it, I became extremely sick with severe stomach pain, nausea, and diarrhea. The pain was so bad that I had to go to the ER in the middle of the night.
This is completely unacceptable. The food safety and quality at this restaurant are extremely poor. I would strongly warn anyone from ordering here. I cannot recommend this place under any circumstances.
