From the moment the plates hit the table, I knew I was in for a treat! The presentation alone was stunning — vibrant cuts of fresh sashimi, perfectly rolled sushi topped with flavorful sauces, and beautiful garnishes that showed real attention to detail. Small sushi restaurant that is an absolute must! The most delicious sushi, an incredible selection (the eel is to die for!) A wide range of drinks and lovely decor. Doesn’t take bookings due to the size of the place but worth the wait!

The food was awesome, some of the best sushi I’ve had in my travels across Britain. The location is unassuming, it doesn’t look like a big sushi place, but the sushi they serve is absolutely top quality. To top it off their wait staff is superb. Super friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, and quick with service. Each time my drink was nearly done, a waiter was there asking if I want another. When I was down to the last piece of my food, the waiter was there asking if I’d like anything else. Super attentive, top notch.
To top it off, the food and drinks there are not expensive. They’re not cheap, but they’re not expensive either, and neither cheap not expensive is a really nice thing to see when you’re getting food and service of this quality!

The food is alright. There used to be cheaper places where the sushi was just as nice in Newcastle but they have since closed.
To be brutally honest, I didn’t feel that the place offers a pleasant dining experience. Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure it appeals to a certain type of crowd. Hense the place still being in business. But to me, it feels like the place is trying too hard to create some kind of identity though it’s not entirely clear what that identity is.
Also I really wouldn’t recommend going if you’re not comfortable eating with chopsticks. There is no option for alternative cutlery, which confused me as the staff didn’t seem overly confident in how advise a beginner on how to use chopsticks. The staff were fine other than this, and I don’t see it as their fault at all. Just a very odd choice from the owners that seems like it would mostly result in awkward experiences for both staff and customers. 99% of customers aren’t going to notice a difference in taste or temperature whether you eat sushi with a fork or not so it seems odd to me, at least from a purely business point of view.

Absolutely lovely experience. The sushi was incredibly fresh and full of flavour — you can really tell the ingredients are top quality. The staff were brilliant: friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome. Service was quick without feeling rushed. Cosy atmosphere as well — perfect for a quiet dinner or a casual meet-up with friends. Will definitely be coming back!

Outstanding food and even better service. The staff went above and beyond to teach my wife the art of using chopsticks on our first visit, which added such a nice layer of authenticity to the meal. We’ll definitely be back!
