My first time at this restaurant & if I lived closer I would definitely be making this a regular go to place.
When I first arrived the parking lot was packed, & I was worried there may be a bit of a wait, especially since this was a spur of the moment stop so I didn’t have a reservation. I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to get a seat immediately upon entering.

My server was very friendly & went over the menu a bit with me since it was my first time here, & I decided on doing the AYCE dinner that way I could try a bit of everything. I got some hot green tea as well as a bottle of Peach Soju. I got a whole pot for the tea, & the soju was served in a small ice bucket, which I thought was cool because I love to keep mine chilled!

I started off with a couple appetizers & some sashimi, the presentation was amazing & the freshness of the seafood delicious! My favorite was definitely the Blue Fin tuna, & apparently I wasn’t the only fan because they had run out of almost all of it which was a little sad but just means I’ll have to come again to try some more lol. The sushi rolls were fantastic & rolled perfectly, my eyes were definitely bigger than my stomach because I wanted to order 1 of every roll but after my fourth roll I could feel myself getting full & sadly had to stop there. I did order some fried oreos for dessert which just hit different when they are done in tempura batter, I love it! The only thing food wise that I could critique is definitely the miso soup, while it looks really good, it was bland & just tasted like warm water & tofu.

The restaurant itself is styled really well, I remember when this location used to be a Red Lobster but looking at it now there’s no way you could tell. Even though the booths are pretty close together they were surprisingly quite, I could barely hear anyone that was around me, it felt like I was in a coffee shop instead of an actual restaurant.

Starting from the time you open the door, this place is impressive. Clean, impeccable decorations, and charming staff. When the food started to arrive the hits kept coming. The sushi rolls were tasty and made with care. The teriyaki steak was tender and flavorful. The hibachi was beautifully presented. I can’t believe how amazing all of the food was. Then came the dessert. Tempura orios and cheesecake. Anyone that has ever had fried dessert knows how great it can be…this was even better.

Had dinner today and had an excellent time. The food here is so good, the fish is always fresh and incredibly high quality. They say you eat with your eyes first and Sushi Masa absolutely lives by that motto!!!

Special shout-out to our server Christian! He was such a delight – so friendly, funny, and sweet. Made us feel right at home! Despite how busy it was, he checked in on us regularly to make sure we were enjoying the food and having a great time. This is one of the restaurants we always take out of town visitors to – Sushi Masa CAN’T be beat!

This was my first time dining at Sushi Masa Premium, and it was truly one of the best restaurant experiences I’ve had in a long time. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, with beautiful furniture and décor that made the space feel elegant yet comfortable.
Our server, Bella, absolutely elevated the entire experience. She was attentive, thoughtful, and genuinely kind. From making sure our drinks were always refilled to clearing plates promptly and checking in on us with perfect timing, she went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect.
Thanks to Bella, my husband and I had an amazing first impression of this wonderful restaurant. I can’t thank her enough for making our evening so special. We’ll definitely be back!

Edited review:
***2nd visit
Sunday night called out for leftovers from Friday and Saturday.
The sashimi pieces are small and looked like leftover cuts
Tuna was not fresh
Scallop gave off a strange odor.
The torch salon and rainbow looked looked nothing like how they did in our first visit.
The highlight was the macha ice cream and dried oreos
Not worth $100
Husband got food poisoning.
Will not be back

Tried out this new sushi spot in Tampa recently. They offer an all-you-can-eat option with a solid variety of rolls, sashimi, and appetizers, which is definitely a plus. There’s a good mix to choose from and you won’t leave hungry.

That said, while the quality was a little above average overall, a few pieces of sashimi weren’t as fresh as I’d like. Service was just okay—our waitress was friendly but kept mixing up parts of our order, which made the experience a bit frustrating.

Also, the online menu isn’t exactly the same as the menu offered on site. The online menu mentioned 1 drink is included as part of the AYCE price, but the Tampa location did not honor this.

Not a bad place if you’re looking for quantity and variety, but there’s room for improvement in freshness and service. I’d give it another shot down the line.

Y’all….I went to Sushi Masa yesterday for my Birthday lunch and I can tell you, this place is the best. Not only do they serve my favorite lychee martini, but the food is so good!! You. And you can not beat the $23 all you can eat lunch special. It took me to my 3rd martini to realize that it’s not just all you can eat sushi. You get soup, appetizers, rice/noodles, anything you want! Stupid me lol. Because they are close to my job, I love coming here after work. Its a great vibe Y’all. Shout out to my bartender Kathryn who kept me very happy, and made my birthday very special. I will DEFINITELY be back, and you gotta check them out Y’all!! You Will Not Be Disappointed.

First time here and overall had a great experience, the ambiance inside and outside the restaurant is lovely for an AYCE sushi spot. My husband and I along with our two kids came on a Sunday around 7pm and only waited about 15-20min until seated.

Our server Emaline (might’ve misspelled her name) was very sweet and attentive. I really felt for her, other tables she was serving gave her a hard time complaining and a customer even shoved her without apologizing. Nonetheless she kept a smile the entire time.

The sushi chefs seemed behind and our food took a little long to come out. Also the website needs to be updated. All You Can Eat Sushi is around $37 NOT $30 like the website states.

I highly recommend the raw Out of Control Roll & the raw Baby Tiger Roll, they were incredible and fresh. The best items on the menu are the ‘Cold Tastings’ section. Order the Pepper Tuna, Salmon Carpaccio, Yellowtail Jalepeno, and Mussels. The Bubba Gump Roll and Bon Temps Roll were disappointing. I’d avoid any roll with krab delight / koni inside. It makes any roll with that inside taste the same. For dessert, the fried Oreos were great. Compared to other Ayce sushi spots like a very popular one located in Brandon, this is definitely better in terms of atmosphere and fish quality.

UPDATE: 2nd Dine In Experience
After 5 months from our first dinner here, service improved DRASTICALLY. Our server Ash was kind and was consistent with checking in on us. The first time my husband and I came here, service was slow and it took a long time for our orders and rolls to come out. We came back today on a Sunday around 5:30-6pm and we were seated immediately without a reservation an our food was not only incredible and fresh, but everything came out quickly. We only ordered 3 rolls for 2 people but ordered lots of the cold tasting, soup, salad, an hot tasting sections of the menu. Really happy and satisfied with our experience today, thanks Ash!!

Sushi masa had me feeling like i was smack in the middle of a zen garden. Ericka made our dining experience one of the best we have had at a sushi restaurant in the tampa area. The rolls were good, and there was no shortage of options on the all you can eat menu. Highly recommended if you’re looking to eat your body weight in raw fish and then some.
