Jay ( Jalene ) possesses the perfect skill, set to work in the hospitality industry. She definitely pays attention to detail and almost invariably checks in during the dining experience! Always asks if everything is ok and you can feel the sincerity in her voice and see it in her eyes / smile. Simply exceptional care and service , it may sound funny to some but it’s true. From my very first encounter with her while dining at Sushi Maki. The owner must be thrilled at having someone like Jay be an asset to their organization. Cheers !

Although this review is a bit delayed, I wanted to take a moment to recognize exceptional service. On September 27, I called to place a pickup order for our family dinner. Carlo was very helpful and professional over the phone, and upon arrival, he ensured our order was complete with all sauces and utensils. Had a great experience eating sushi at sushi maki. My server Jay was really sweet and attentive. I received my food right away. They have a nice outdoor patio to eat. It’s small and cozy. I tried a new item from the menu. I can’t recall the name of it. It was a dragon roll topped with scorched salmon. It was DELICIOUS and AMAZING!!

We very much enjoy this totally chill high quality restaurant in the middle of our neighborhood. There’s not a lot of places to go that are quite this good. I’ve been coming here for ever and never had a bad experience. Every time it was something it was from the kitchen and ALWAYS the manager corrected it immediately. The customer service is always on point… for that I want to say thank you to Claudia from the Palmetto Bay location. She’s the bomb!
As far as the food, the sushi is great. Nothing too crazy or fancy like some other places but there’s a consistency here that keeps me coming back. Tuna tataki is a go to of mines, and so is the Coral Reef roll. Overall solid flavors and always fresh to me. Although I had an issue tonight with my noodles, again customer service saved the day and my review. There’s a reason they’ve been in business this long. Great food and amazing people. I’m a keep coming back!!

The atmosphere is cozy but professional and the workers are so friendly. The service is great and the food is so good!! One of the sushi chef’s, Rodrigo, is just a delight, all of his rolls are very neat and each of them have an amazing presentation. You can actually tell that he cares and puts thought into what he’s doing. I keep going back there cause I like the way he does things. 10/10
