We were hooked from the first bite!
We couldn’t wait to try something different, and this place absolutely delivered. Every dish was beautifully presented — almost too pretty to eat! The flavors were incredible, and the attention to detail really showed. On top of that, the staff was both friendly and professional, making the whole experience even better. We’ll definitely be back!

This place needs to be the go to sushi place in Bonney lake because I would be beside myself if it doesn’t stay here forever! That other place up the road should probably just shut down and sell out to a used tire dealership because that’s about the level of atmosphere it has… iykyk.
Sushi kuma however has incredible food, amazing service, and stellar atmosphere. You forget you’re in Bonney lake while you’re there. It’s intimate, serene… absolutely an amazing dining experience. 10/10 will come here again!

My friend invited me to this restaurant for lunch. I had my two kids with me, and one of them had fallen asleep in their Doona Car Seat & Stroller. When I walked in, the staff didn’t greet me — the first thing they said was that strollers weren’t allowed and asked me to return to my car to bring a car seat instead. I explained that the Doona transforms into a car seat, but they were still not very understanding or welcoming.
If I hadn’t been meeting my friend, I probably would have left. The service felt cold and uninviting, which was disappointing, especially since my husband has ordered from this place many times before. The restaurant was completely empty at the time — just my friend sitting at a corner table — so it wasn’t as if space was an issue.
I lost my appetite but stayed out of respect for my friend. Unfortunately, this will be the last time my family orders from or visits this place. I rarely leave negative reviews, but I felt it was important to share how unwelcoming the experience was.

holy hidden gem…. stumbled across kuma by accident, turned out to be one of my favorite dining experiences. beautiful dish presentation, very fresh fish, and friendly service!! vibes in here are great, but the food is even better. highly recommend!

The omakase experience is where Sushi Kuma really shines. Not only is the price amazing for what you get, but the sheer abundance and variety make it feel like a full culinary journey. I’m used to the traditional omakase style where you’re served piece by piece, but here it felt so much more thoughtful and generous. There were starters, appetizers, beautifully prepared sashimi, a wide selection of nigiri and sushi, incredible entrées, and even dessert to finish things off.

We have been to Kuma twice now and it is by far our favorite sushi restaurant. The presentation is beautiful, the quality of the fish is second to none, the service is spot on and the inside is really well done complete with life size cherry blossom tree! We had the yellow fin belly along with an assortment of rolls and everything was amazing! Fire roasted roll actually comes to your table ON FIRE!! If you live in the Bonney Lake area and are looking for a new spot to try, you will not be disappointed!!
