This place might have gotten 4 or 5 stars before but the last 6 months or so they have been unbelievably slow and had terrible customer service for absolutely zero reason. Multiple times I’ve placed orders with no one in the dining area and it’s taken absolutely forever. I’ve placed online orders and not only have they taken forever but twice they “forgot” my order while I sat there waiting for my food. Zero customer service. Shame because I used to enjoy going here, but until they get their act together again I’d skip it for any number of the other sushi places in town.

I been coming to Sushi King since I moved to Algonquin back in 2017, it’s one of my favorite sushi places. Since I work from home I will sometimes go on my lunch break for a quick sushi lunch. My wife prefers hot food so she loves the Raman and the Udon noddle’s which are really GOOD! I like to go with just my wife but I have also taken groups of friends as well, great service each time. I love the Angel Roll and tuna salad is fantastic! I hard recommend the Algonquin Sushi King from it’s great staff to the amazing food. In the last 8 years I been eating there about 50+ times and each time is great! The Raman is perfect right as wintertime sets in here in Algonquin.

I was looking for a sushi spot leaving work and I found this spot! The food was delicious, the quality of the fish was fresh & delicious. Food came out in a timely manner. The server was not really attentive, was gone most of time. She made sure we had our food very quickly though so that’s good.

I know there’s only a handful of reviews but, THEY DO NOT LIE. This was possibly one of the best sushi’s I’ve ever had in my life. I have been to a lot of high end places all around, but this local restaurant was amazing. The food is just outstanding, I was so amazed. The restaurant it self is very run down and “lifeless” to say the least, but you can’t beat the food. Will most definitely be coming back.

It’s the hubby’s birthday..he was in the mood for tempura.. so we stopped in here. Service was fast and friendly.. answered any questions we had. We ordered crab ragoons, pot stickers, hot tempura plate with shrimp and white rice.. he ordered tempura vegtables and shrimp plate with fried rice. We also had the meso soup and house salad.. Wow..it was all delicious. Stop in..you won’t be sorry.

The AYCE sushi experience here is really good price and from a huge selection of different sushi, appetizers, speciality rolls and dessert. The sushi rolls were very delicious with high quality ingredients. We walked out very full and well satisfied. The service was also very good.

I will say I have been eating at Sushi King Algonquin location for a year now and I must say every aspect you want in a sushi restaurant they have. Great quality sushi, (best in Chicagoland if you ask me). I am from South Florida and been in Northern Illinois for about 2 years now and the owner Amy is the best, the employees are super friendly, welcoming. Quality of sushi is top of the notch, refreshing and many varieties to choose from. Highly recommend checking it out if you are a sushi fan.
