Sushi King Japanese Restaurant offers top-grade Sushi and Japanese cuisine. We are conveniently located in the Columbia business center (next to the MVA) with easy access to parking and minutes from MD-175 (Rouse Pkwy), Rt. 95, Rt. 29 & Rt. 32. We provide not only the traditional sushi fare, but we boast a great selection of specialty rolls. Including unique creations by Chef Simon. We offer gluten free options and a variety of other healthy choices as well. The atmosphere is cozy, casual and family friendly. There are tables and a sushi bar, plus two private rooms you can reserve. The staff is very helpful and will do everything they can to make your dining experience a pleasant one.

I came here while on a work trip and was blown away. I live in Seattle, have been to Japan multiple times and this is as good as it gets. Fish is very fresh, customer service is amazing. If you want authentic sushi do yourself a favor and come eat. The prices are beyond reasonable for the portion size too.

Sushi King has been around for many years. The staff are very friendly and the owners are always there to greet all the guests. The sushi – rolls, nigiri, sashimi all are fantastic! The tempura is also perfection. I also feel refreshed by the sesame seaweed salad. Everything is always freshly made with the best quality ingredients. The atmosphere is welcoming.

I have been dining here for the past decade and I am pleased to say that the quality of their service and food still remains to be consistent and exceptional even to this day. The owner is very kind and accommodating as are all the staff members. This is probably my favorite Sushi restaurant in all of the DMV. Highly recommend!

This place is awesome and has a bit of a traditional vibe to it. Sushi bar at the front, sit in tables in between and a bit more private lounges near the entrance. The staff here are incredibly friendly and kind. They truly take care of their customers. That alone shows me this place is well above the average.
The Food:
Honey Do Roll – This was probably my favorite roll. The sauce is absolutely delicious and everything tasted like quality.
Golden Roll – This roll was also very good. Once again there is a hint of quality that’s a step above the average Sushi place.
Eastern Shore Roll – A unique roll, something I’ve never had before, wouldn’t say it’s my favorite but I certainly enjoyed it. Would recommend trying if you were looking to explore something new.

Stopped here on a Saturday night for dinner and the place was super busy! Despite being busy, we were sat right away, the service was great, and the food came relatively quickly. They offer a wide variety of sushi rolls and cooked entrees. I had the spicy dragon roll and the warm to the heart roll. Both were pretty good and tasted very fresh. I would definitely come back and try other options.
