Where do I even begin? The amazing selection of fish were so insane that I wasn’t even looking at the price after the first nigiri bite. I mean the quality of the fish were mind blowing on top of the kitchen order we had placed. I went with my dear friend and we had ordered marinated salmon, salmon, trout, sea bass, Uni, the steamed egg, etc. The chef was very kind and our server was very attentive to bring out the hot tea consistently. Very reccomedned to try Sushi Ken AT LEAST ONCE!!!

Excellent sushi restaurant in Torrance, CA. The quality of the sashimi and sushi is outstanding at this restaurant. The seafood is very fresh and the price reasonable compared to the big cities like New York. The service was very friendly and efficient. We will definitely return again.

Cozy traditional restaurant. Arrived on a Saturday around 7pm and there was no wait.

There’s plenty of free self parking.

Was greeted by the friendly staff and quickly seated.

They offer lots of cut sushi options as well as a few cut rolls.

The fish was very fresh and tasty. The rice used was of excellent quality and prepared very well.

Felt it was a bit on the pricey side considering it’s not in a fancy location or fancy ambience.

The food was exquisite. The server was so sweet and attentive. The freshness of the sushi really stood out. Everything was presented well. Restaurant was quiet and clean and relaxing. Highly recommend. Also very affordable given the quality of the sushi.

Authentic Japanese food! It may sound a bit wierd but I had even enjoyed wasabi they served.
It’s definitely not typical out of tube wasabi. I had premium chirashi which was served with pieces of sashimi over well cooked rice. Rice was well prepared unlike most of other sushi place. Must try place!

We had some great food and really enjoyed it.

Also – great location, easy and convenient.

Really small place, one Chef at the sushi bar. One person waiting staff and a person in the kitchen to assist with the cooked dishes. I’ve been turned down at least a few times as they were busy so I would strongly suggest to call ahead and inquire for reservation. I now know and would always call ahead unless I show up near the opening time 5:30pm.
With that out of the way here is plenty of great reason for me to come back over and over even after being denied service few times as a walk-in.
Their tuna selection seems very meticulous. A clear distinction of Tuna, Bluefin, Fatty and Extra Fatty Tuna. Not many places I’ve been to would be brave enough to have all 4 on the menu consistently. The baby sardine and few seasonal items on the sushi menu are delicious and highly recommend. The Chef doesn’t appear to be interested in socializing or offering suggestions for the food but his work is art. My respect for that. Neat, clean and well organized with great attention to detail. It reminded me of “Jiro Dreams of Sushi” documentary where we westerners treat dining as socializing/hangout event and in Japan you hit’n run the food scenery
Won’t even comment on the rest of the cooked dishes as they were up to the norm for all above average sushi places. Glad I found Ken’s Sushi so close to home. Keep up the good work.

Quaint, traditional, and inviting atmosphere. Excellent service and friendly staff. I was having work done on my car nearby and was looking for somewhere to dine. There was a sign stating “reservations only” at the front door, however, they weren’t too busy at the time I arrived and they happily seated me. Since I was dining on my own, I chose to sit at the sushi bar. The sushi was fresh & delicious. The sushi prepared in the photo was the following: Blue Fin Tuna, Amberjack, Halibut, Japanese Mackerel, and Alfonsino. I highly recommend the Alfonsino. I will be back here for Omakase with my +1!

One of my favorite sushi spots in the South Bay. Traditional Japanese sushi bar and everything is delicious. Omakase is a great deal and it is all premium fish.
