Best Japanese food I’ve had after moving here from Japan. No Japanese food in the area comes close to the food that served here. The selection is amazing with good sushi, ramen and tasty appetizers. The service is quick with servers that are very responsive and respectful to your needs. The atmosphere was very chill and peaceful with aspects that reminded me of restaurants you’d go to in Japan. Overall my favorite Japanese food place to go to and if you’re big into Japanese style food I’d highly recommend this place.

I had some tasty food here earlier this week. My treasured local Japanese restaurant had a fire of some kind and closed, so when I have a craving for yummy Japanese food I think I’ll come here. Atmosphere is good, service was good, and I enjoyed my food(even if I should have laid off the spicy a little bit lol). I’m glad they are around.

I’ve had the pleasure of dining here several times over the past few years and each time has been an amazing experience. It is a Japanese run sushi restaurant, and most if not all of the staff are also of Japanese descent and speak Japanese. The food is authentic and delicious, with an amazing selection of sushi, sashimi, ramen, gyoza, and other Japanese dishes. Their menu is affordable as well, in comparison to other sushi restaurants I’ve visited. The restaurant itself is cozy and decorated with Japanese items and calligraphy quotes hand-written by the current owner and chef. The staff are welcoming and happy to accommodate any dietary needs such by as separating food items into a different plate for family members with allergies. It’s also common for me to run into Japanese friends and acquaintances because the restaurant is well known and popular among the Japanese community in the Denver area. Overall it is a restaurant with great food, a friendly ambience, and a nice gathering place for celebrations and get-togethers with friends and family.

Today is also the grand re-opening of Sushi Kazu in South Denver. The restaurant has been in business since I can remember and was hidden gem in this part of town. It was closed for about a month for some renovation work. This is one of the few Japanese owned sushi restaurants in town and has the semblance of small restaurants in Japan. Besides refreshing its interior, the menu is also updated. Still many value set lunch and dinner selections as well as the tasty Japanese style curry. Sushi Kazu is right by Arapahoe and Peoria and the address is 12201 E Arapahoe Rd, Centennial.

This place is simply wonderful. If your looking for a cozy little Japanese place with less hectic of energy then an all you can eat, this plane is perfect. The sushi is reasonably priced for the portions, and the bowls here are great!

My family was visiting the Denver area and we asked a Japanese friend for a restaurant recommendation. She told us about Sushi Kazu and we are glad that she did. My wife is Japanese and I used to live in Tokyo. The food was really good and the staff made us feel like we were back in Japan. Sushi Kazu is a must-stop for us from now on.

We’ll come back again real soon!

Sushi didn’t taste fresh. Avocado was brown in the rolls. The restaurant was stuffy and so uncomfortably hot. Don’t recommend at all.

Outstanding! KAZU, Simply the best! Better than all the rest. Better than anyone. Anyone I’ve ever met. Every time we come in for a meal and end up having an experience. Protip : order off of the white boards hanging on the walls.
