What a wonderful place. The sushi was amazing and so fresh. Sashimi was delicious and fresh. Another yummy was the pepper steak. Truly, a wonderful experience. And the customer service was EXCEPTIONAL! Extra care was given to customers with extra physical needs. Thank you for a fantastic lunch.

This is my new fave sushi place in the area! The sushi is so fresh. I ordered take out and waited inside. All items are made by order which is why it takes slightly longer. They have 1 sushi chef who does it all. If you sit at the bar counter, you can watch him make the sushi in action. It only took 30 mins for my takeout order (&I ordered as a walk in) but he was also finishing 4-5 other tickets.

Sushi will always take longer then reg hot food so come in with the expectation that you sushi is made to order and can take a bit longer. You can’t rush greatness. The whole technique takes time.

Overall, loved the staff! They were super nice while I waited. The food was amazing! I even had left overs. Would recommend a combo to try it all. But really, just try it all!

Most amazing sushi around! Honestly, we’ve checked out a few other places and Sushi Katsu is absolutely fantastic! Everything is fresh and delicious! Quiet and relaxing is the atmosphere and everyone is so nice.

THE BEST sushi place out of all I have been to — true authentic gem, “hidden” in the heart of Merriman Valley. This place is small, yet very cozy — but what amazed me is the quality and taste of food. Sushi and salads are beyond amazing, I am out of words to describe to be honest…
UPDATE: We’ve been vegan for a while and I had to revisit this place to see what vegan options they offer — to my surprise, there were a lot!!! Seaweed salad and appetizers, some stuff made out of silken tofu, several veggie sushi and sushi rolls and more… this place just gets it, they get it!

I enjoyed this restaurant. I think it is worth a try to anyone who likes asian cuisine & sushi. The gyoza was my favorite part! The baked crab was also very good. The reason for the 3 stars was due to the sushi quality. The salmon, octopus, and tobiko were delicious and fresh! The tuna, eel, and yellowtail were not the best. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant to see if you would have better luck than us.

Wow! What a find. Everything I ate was delicious. I had the Tonkatsu Ramen, which is the only ramen they currently offer. But it happens to be my favorite!

Sushi is excellent as well. Miso soup they serve here is the best I’ve had at a restraunt.

The bake crab is a spicy dish filled with mainly rice, I did not realise this it would be so spicy.

It was a little hard to locate but there are signs. The Arcade is part of the restraunt, the sushi place itself is behind the Arcade.

Service was wonderful, highly reccomend this place.

Definitely best sushi in Akron Ohio!

First time here. It looks pretty but that’s it. Ramen is super sweet. Sushi was bland. The scallop didn’t taste like scallop. The spicy sauce tasted like mayonnaise. Egg noodle was good though. I never got my miso. Prices are good. I won’t be going back.

Tried to ask if they could accommodate food alergies. My hsband has celiac disease and cannot have any gluten or cross contact. They did not understand the request which would mean they have no protocols for allergens

Hadn’t been back in a couple years since the original owner retired and that was a mistake. Just as comfortable a hang out as ever and the food was fantastic. I had the small sushi combo along with miso soup and the cucumber salad. It was the best nigiri I’ve had in ages. I will be back.

The sushi was good but took over an hour for our order to arrive at our table. As a vegan I got the vegetable roll and it was very large and not very tasty. Everyone else enjoyed their sushi, and mentioned how good the salmon nigiri was in particular. It was fun to order sushi and play games at Quater Up.
