Just had such a great experience at Sushi Junai! We did the all you can eat option and it was honestly worth it. The fish tasted super fresh, and there was a really nice variety of rolls and appetizers to try. Everything came out quickly and tasted amazing.

Shoutout to Elizabeth, our server she was so friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. She kept checking in on us and made sure we had everything we needed.

If you’re thinking about trying Sushi Junai, I definitely recommend going for the all you can eat. Great food, great service, and a really enjoyable dinner overall!

What one would expect for what I would consider a small hole in the wall sushi place. Dark, sports on the t.v. K-Pop Demon Slayer’s Gilden playing g. If you sit at the bar you still have to wait for a waiter to come take your order. Everyone was very nice, prices and sushi as expected.

Loved this place so much I ended up coming back the next day for lunch. Huge selection of apps and sushi. First I had the cucumber salad, the Tuna Poki and a Rainbow Roll. The next day I had a Playboy roll and Spicy Tuna Crackers. All nice portions, very fresh, and great flavors. The playboy roll especially had such a unique taste that I almost ordered another one, but I was full. I got take out, and both times they were ready for pickup before I could even walk over from next door. The staff was friendly. I enjoyed everything!

The service was shockingly utterly garbage. No one spoke English and we had to take our own order on a piece of paper. Food took forever and was ok at best. No offers for drinks, condiments, or anything. When we too the check, the server that didn’t even serve us had the audacity to try and scam us by automatically applying a 25% gratuity without even showing us the receipt. When we ask for it to be voided they said “why”. When the payment was finally fixed, she started glaring and making rude remarks. Disgusting behavior, Unbelievably trash spot, will not be coming back.

The most delicious sushi I think I’ve ever had. the “salmon ass” was INCREDIBLE and pretty silly as far as names go. It’s a small place, but very traditional and comfortable. The service was a little slow, but that was because I went on Valentine’s day. Definitely one of the greatest sushi places in Austin, and prices are fairly reasonable.

The food was fine. The Monkey Brains appetizer (stuffed fried mushrooms) was the most notable item I bought.

The salmon nigiri I got “filled” the whole package, but when I accidentally tipped it a little, they all flattened to fill just a third of it.

Ultimately, I spent $35 and felt the fish portions were small (the Monkey Brains felt appropriately priced). They have an All You Can Eat option, and I think all the portions are geared towards that. Probably good deal and portions if you dine in for AYCE. Wouldn’t recommend it to-go.

We both had NEVER been here before. He let me pick our dinner plans for the night so I googled places near our hotel deciding between sushi and seafood. The seafood options weren’t to pleasing to me. There were lots of sushi options to choose from but came down between this one and another one. But I chose this one off of reviews and the pictures people posted, and we were both so glad that I did. This place is offers AMAZING food. We had the all you can eat sushi option, where you choose different sushis from their 2 sided menu and you have like 70 mins to eat all you can. The names they have for some of these sushis are hilarious. It cost I believe $34 or $39. I just don’t know if it’s per person or together since you’re sharing it. Since I didn’t pay for it, I didn’t get to see the bill.

5 stars!
Sushi Junai is seriously one of my go-to spots in Austin. The sushi is super fresh and delicious—honestly way better than a lot of places that charge twice as much. The quality of the food is top tier.

The staff is always really friendly and on top of everything. Great customer service every time I’ve been. They make the whole experience easy and enjoyable.

And the prices? Can’t beat them. For what you’re getting, it’s an amazing deal. Definitely recommend if you’re craving sushi and want great food without breaking the bank.

One of the better value All-You-Can-Eat (AYCE) sushi made-to-order restaurants I have been to. For around $35 you can get everything on the menu (a few items limited to one) but overall a great deal. And a very large menu with some creative rolls.

Food is solid, not spectacular but a good value for what you get. My favorite was the tuna poke, traditionally prepared with a little kick! The handrolls were not great, I would stick with regular rolls here. The nigiri seemed fresh.
Service was awesome!
Vibe is fine, small, non-descript, but clean and a diverse crowd.
AYCE option as well as just ordering à la carte.

➡️ Ate: Dynamite Bake, Salmon Skin Handroll, California Handroll, Ikura, Tamago, Hamachi nigiri, Tuna Poke, Shrimp Shumai (not pictured, they are fried not steamed).
➡️ Drank: Hot Sake (good, standard sake comes in small and large)
