My boyfriend and I are from out of state, came to this town for a concert and decided to check this spot out. Great menu, some basic rolls and some additional premium rolls. We REALLY enjoyed the crispy rice, actually came back the next day just to order that We also got the hawaiian roll, coconut shrimp, pineapple, some kind of sweet sauce and cashews – different but so good!! Sad we’re not local to enjoy it again soon, but we’ll be back!

Excellent sushi and great customer service. My first experience here when I arrived, they read back my order and had an item wrong. It was fixed immediately and they were nice enough to give me the other roll for the mistake which was much more than I thought that they would do. On top of that, they had a positive attitude the whole time. I got my order for takeout and brought it home. I have to say, I have been sleeping on this place! Every roll, including the free one was delicious and usually when I go for sushi, I only really like one of the two or three rolls a lot and the others are just ok. Here my favorites in order that I had were:
1. Hawaiian Roll
2. Spicy Tuna Roll
3. California Roll
4. Shrimp Tempura Roll
P.S. The Miso soup was also quite good. Off first impression, I’d say one of the better sushi digs I’ve been to in the area. I will absolutely return.

Ordered takeout from this place for the first time and it was really awful. The sushi rice was dry and the spicy mayo was…gelatinous (see picture) and literally inedible (as was the eel sauce.) A waste of a meal 🙁

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Sushi Jo!!!! I have been coming here for years! I come so often, in fact, that I now know all of the servers, and they know me, personally. It’s like having a home away from home!
Not only do they have the BEST sushi in Boynton Beach, hands down!!!! It’s ALWAYS fresh, ALWAYS amazing, and now, I don’t really even need to order! I simply sit at my usual table outside and any one of the servers I know and love will promptly come out and ask my new boyfriend and I if we want our usual (which is almost always edamame with salt on, large sake, eel avocado hand roll, spicy tuna hand roll, hamachi and avocado maki and they eventreat us to a new type of sake each time!) Unfortunately, for me, I am highly allergic to shellfish, so I cannot have many of the rolls offered on the menu. I do know from close friends who also frequent Sushi Jo that any of the other amazing rolls on their menu are AWESOME!
The only drawback of Sushi Jo is how small the inside of the restaurant is. This is why no matter what time of year, my new boyfriend and I will sit outside and brave the humidity. After all, once we’ve shared 2 sakes and added the heat of lots of Wasabi the humidity doesn’t seem to matter much anymore !
As long as Sushi Jo is there we will ALWAYS be patrons! If you haven’t tried Sushi Jo in Boynton Beach (they have other locations. The one in WPB is amazing! Great bar and so much fun after hours on the weekends!) you are thoroughly missing out! I have been to multiple different sushi restaurants in the Boynton Beach area and NONE, not a single one compares to the quality and price of Sushi Jo! When you add in the warmth of the servers who know us and take care of us like we’re the only people in the restaurant (and I promise you that we’re not!) There’s simply no reason I can find to EVER go anywhere else for awesome sushi (unless I want to drive 30 minutes to Boca!)
