A very comfortable environment with excellent flavors and kind service. I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while, looking for my go-to sushi place, and I may have found it. The tuna maki roll I had was fresh and flavorful, well-balanced and seasoned. And they have udon noodles and ramen as well as several soup and bowl options, so a good variety for a specialty restaurant. I stopped in on a Sunday during lunch and people were regularly coming in and out, and I myself didn’t have to wait 10 minutes for my food. Comfortable place to hold conversations or have a solo visit. The fact that they automatically asked me about allergies also added to my trust of this locale. I look forward to my next visit!

We visited this location in Alexandria on a Saturday afternoon in December 2025. It wasn’t busy. We might suggest you wave over a server when you’re ready to order as no one came back to us and we sat for a bit waiting thinking someone would just come back. It wasn’t a problem – just suggesting.
They prepare a lovely display of your order and portions are very generous. The Miso soup was very good & the squid salad which someone else ordered had tasty squid – they suggested they would have liked some dressing on the side though.
The Burning Love dish arrived on fire & was excellent. The Russian Roulette dish is unique as they hide a big wasabi in one piece and you can’t see it till you’ve eaten it and now your eyes are full of tears and your sinuses are on fire (kind of kidding – but do be aware!)
The restaurant has fun items on display. The restroom was clean, and parking was close in an underground garage which was free.
I highly recommend this sushi place.

Sushi Jin is a great place to grab sushi and Ramen dishes for any meal. The atmosphere is casual, the portions generous and the staff are friendly and helpful. Stopped in for dinner a few weeks ago with my husband and we both enjoyed the sushi as well as Ramen. The menu is large and diverse; they also have chef specials. Hot tip, you can park in an underground parking garage just below the nearby Harris Teeter and take the elevator up to the street level. I will definitely be back. Thanks for a great experience.

The sushi here was excellent and beautifully presented! We tried the Burning Love roll (served on fire), the Hawaiian Bad Boy, the Volcano Roll, and the Fried 2016. All were fresh and flavorful, though I was more impartial to the Fried 2016 compared to the others. The highlight for me was the spicy ramen—it was honestly some of the best ramen I’ve had in the area. The broth was rich, flavorful, and had the perfect spice level without being overwhelming. Great service, great food, and a fun dining experience overall.

Will not be the last time eating here;so gooood. The food from the kitchen is fantastic!!! The portion sizes are great for the price and the prices are very reasonable. All the food came out hot and fresh, and without a long wait. The Tempura vegetables were some of my fave things I ate. The sushi was also great but I prefered the hot kitchen items over the sushi …THIS TIME. during the week in the evening the place is busy but not overly crowded. Try this place for sure.

The place is designed very well. The space is limited and the plates are are scratched. Me personally I would recommend it if you like sushi that is very fragile. Also THERE IS NO YUM YUM SAUCE.☹️☹️☹️☹️

Small space, no bar, seems more like a fast food atmosphere. I wish the hostess told me they’re closing soon so i had more time to make a decision; food was good, drinks mediocre for the price, only sake wine and beer. Overall good food but wont be back. I need more friendly service and a better drink menu for a return visit.

It all started when my best friend and I individually drove past Sushi Jin and somehow both said “hey we should try that Sushi place on the corner!”. Well we tried it out one night, and the rest was history. In the time she lived in Arlington, we ate at, or ordered Sushi Jin at least once a week. The restaurant is comfortable and modern, and the staff are so friendly and welcoming. Every time is just as good as the last. The extensive and creative vegetarian options are so delicious and delightful. A true testimony to how sushi can still be just as unique and satisfying- yet plant based. I find this to be a rare quality in sushi offerings elsewhere. They are all amazing choices, but the fried avocado roll is my favorite item on the menu. The spicy Mayo is always just right. The grilled edamame is incredible. They know what they’re doing. Eventually my best friend moved away, so I don’t find myself going there as often without her but she will frequently text me about how much she misses it too. It will forever be a very special place to me. Sushi Jin is hands down the best sushi. Love you guys.

I have placed online orders here about 3 or 4 times now, and I’m very impressed with the quality and taste of their fish. I have gotten a sashimi bowl, sushi rolls, and poké bowl and have been impressed with the quality and quantity. A few times I have had to bring part of my lunch home because it was more than I could eat. My order has always been expertly prepared, the restaurant is clean and well organized, the staff is friendly and capable. I will continue to order from Sushi Jin.
