My sisters and I were in town staying at a nearby resort and were looking for a good sushi spot. We chose Sushi Jako based on their great Google reviews; and here we are writing our own. It’s not the fanciest, however, we appreciated the great service and were impressed by the quality of their food. The plate presentation was on point! (photos attached). As avid sushi eaters, we highly recommend Sushi Jako if you are looking for fresh sushi at a reasonable price.

I have eaten here for many years. Always really good sushi, fresh and delicious. Love to try their seasonal/special rolls which they write on the chalkboard wall, along with my usual Hwe dup bap. I tried the Tuna Tartare because I love white Tuna. It’s described as having Mango but mine came with peaches instead. I think mango would have been better but I still ate every little bit of it! Always very friendly service- am greeted whenever we enter. My go-to place if I’m wanting sushi, which is often.

We moved to the area this summer and were concerned we wouldn’t find a great sushi place to replace our old regular spot. We LOVE Sushi Jako!! We’ve come here about 6 times now and are always happy with the consistent high standard of food. I always order sushi and have been happy with the quality of the fish each time. Best sushi in Harrisonburg. We have eaten here for years and it’s always good, dine in or take out. Owner is not the friendliest person but the food makes up for it. We got the Specialty rolls: Bird & York plus, my favorite, the Yummy Roll. Would 100% recommend!

Enjoyed a nice evening dining there. We tried many options, including the winter rolls, tempura rolls, eel, and salmon skin rolls. Tried also the omelette and octopus sashimi and chicken Katsu with miso soup and peanut ginger salad as an appetizer. Everything tasted great and looked great, too. Glad we had the soup and salad and the chicken ordered because it took some time to get the sushi. Friendly staff and an amazing chef.

Best sushi in town! I always get the salmon lovers and it is amazing! One of my favorite meals on the planet! Giant pieces of delicious fresh fish. They seem understaffed so sometimes there is a bit of a wait but very well worth every minute.
