The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming as soon as I came in. Over the phone as well! The sushi was really good, I got a California roll with cream cheese (basic I know) but I highly recommend (: they also included a miso soup !
The restaurant is run by a Korean owner, and the flavor was clean and delicious!
I highly recommend it!
One of the best meals of my life!
I love all things Japan and Korea, so we decided to visit Mom’s Sushi House for lunch.
Starting with the place — it was a clean restaurant with excellent service. The waiters were attentive and fast.
I ordered the squid stir fry, and all the pickled sides blew me away! I’m set for fiber for the rest of the week, lol.
My husband got the teriyaki chicken bento box — it was huge!
The miso soup was flavorful.
For my drink, I tried the iced barley tea — toasty, comforting, and refreshing.
We also ordered a tempura sushi roll, which we loved.
I left with a full, satisfied tummy, yet feeling light (if that makes sense). We even had leftovers!
The price was moderate — about $65 for two people.
As a fellow food business owner (I own Sazon & Soy, a food truck in the Northeast serving Taiwanese shaved ice, matcha lattes, Korean egg drops, and more), there’s a saying:
“El que cuida el precio, no cuida la calidad.”
(Rough translation: If you only focus on the price, you’ll overlook the quality.)
I’m perfectly fine paying that because:
1. It’s delicious.
2. The portions are huge.
I’d rate it 3 Michelin stars — worth visiting even if you’re from out of town!
Spend the gas money and go try them.
I’m definitely coming back to try the bingsu (Korean shaved ice).
Okay, bye — I’m off to take a post-meal nap
