Sushi House is hands down one of the best spots to eat in Duncan. The fish is incredibly fresh, the presentation is clean and professional, and every roll tastes like it was made with real care — not rushed or thrown together.
The service is consistently friendly and efficient. Staff are attentive without hovering, and the atmosphere strikes that perfect balance between relaxed and polished. It’s the kind of place where you can go for a casual lunch or bring someone for dinner and know it’ll impress.
The portions are generous, prices are fair, and the quality rivals big-city sushi without the big-city attitude. You can tell they take pride in what they serve.
If you’re in Duncan and craving sushi, this is the place. Reliable, fresh, and genuinely enjoyable every time.

The food ok. The actual sushi rolls were not good compared to other sushi restaurants on the Island. Things like monkey brains, tempura and yoga were all good. The staff was friendly.
3 homeless people right outside the windows making noise and clearly doing drugs. Not the restaurants fault. Hopefully they can deal with this issue.

I had a great experience at Sushi House in Duncan! The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared — definitely some of the best sushi I’ve had in the area. What made the visit even better were the people working there. The servers were so attentive and very welcoming, which gave the whole place a warm and friendly vibe.
Portions were generous, prices reasonable, and the service made me feel really valued as a customer. If you’re in Duncan and craving sushi with a side of genuine hospitality, Sushi House is definitely worth checking out.

The sushi house in Duncan is a pretty good place to go. My friends actually go there on a regular basis for the teriyaki chicken bowls. They are a good size and a decent amount of protein. I eat the sushi, but next time I’m in I will take/add a picture of the chicken bowls.

I encountered a rude and snarky female server who literally commanded me to sit before placing the menu on the table and was giving me nasty looks. That was rude and very awkward. There was a better female server, but none of them were welcoming or smiling. At the end, I told her that I would like to pay, but she ignored me and started cleaning the table next to me before leaving. My rolls were not tasty and fell apart right away. The home-style fried rice was okay, but considering the amount of ‘vegetables’ and the price, it should have cost maybe about $9 to make instead of the $18 I paid. The only good thing was that it was a big and filling portion. The tables were sticky, the plates were old and scratched, and the music was loud. I don’t even know why I returned there; I guess this will be my last visit. I don’t recommend this place to anyone.

I am torn with this rating.
Ordered some rolls, Gyoza, and miso soup. Food was ready quick for takeout.
All the food was delicious, but there were some issues. We were staying in a hotel. When I got back to the room I noticed no chopsticks, no soya sauce, and no spoon or napkins.
I guess I’ve taken for granted that these things would be in the bag as they have been from every other sushi place I’ve ordered from ever. Not this time! Did they forget? Do they just not include this stuff?
Made for a messy dinner with chopsticks or napkins. Missed the soya, and drank the soup like an animal!!
The gyoza also seemed overcooked which was unfortunate. But overall the food was quite good. Would have been a 5 star rating had they remembered the other stuff!

Came here with my family, ordered the love boat, sockeye salmon nigiri and mango special roll. First off the sushi was great, presentation was nice, the fish was tasty and nicely cut. The customer service however… was lacking. It was a busy Friday evening, only 2 chefs pumping out orders as fast as possible, kudos to them. The servers were a bit lost and we were basically seated in a corner and forgotten about… While we waited about an hour we saw pickup order after pickup order go out the door. Aside from taking our order, no one came by, no water refill, no one came with our bill, no one looked our way. Kinda felt like we were a nuisance being there. This place is in a good spot and has great potential. 4-5 stars are within reach!
