This place is unassuming I am not sure what I expected but something different but I was wowed away buy the food and service. One note that I think is huge is the lady that served me knew multiples orders before they even ordered. I remember her telling one gentlemen that she noticed he didn’t like his roll last time so to try something different. That is AMAZING and above and beyond the basic standard of customer service. I live really far away but if I’m ever back in the area I’ll be returning.
Now 3 rolls, soup and a salad for around $20? Is a crazy good deal as a lunch special and there’s a good selection of rolls to chose from. The flavors were fresh and texture was perfect.

The sushi house was fairly disappointing. The quality of the food was sub-par and it came to the table in take out containers. The California roll was decent but any roll with raw fish was practically inedible. We were also not provided with any water which was disappointing to say the least. The service was good but did not make up for the sub quality food. Overall, I would not recommend this, even as a budget option as there are plenty of other budget sushi restaurants in the area.

I grabbed a quick but tasty lunch here of their salmon teriyaki bento box. Although the vast majority of their business is take-out, they do have six tables arranged for sit down dining. So I was not surprised when the Miso soup arrived in a plastic take-out bowl with a lid with a plastic spoon. Large cubes of tofu and attention to flavor made it tasty. The California roll was served on its own heavy duty paper plate, with at least a tablespoon of pickled ginger and a teaspoon of wasabi. The teriyaki salmon, two large pieces, was served in an open to-go box, along with a sizeable portion of edamame and a house salad with a lovely ginger sauce. The salmon was perfectly cooked with enough teriyaki sauce to ensure some with every bite of salmon without the fish swimming in the sauce. Clearly a place worthy of a return visit or at least to phone ahead for take-out.

The staff were friendly and really great. The sushi was ok. Everything was served in to-go containers, down to the ramekin for soy sauce. The only drinks available were bottled, so no glass of water. If you are environmentally minded, this is a painful place to eat. Eating out of to-go containers also takes away from the dine-in experience. I won’t return, as there are so many other options in the area.

Portions were great, price was fair, and it felt great supporting a local business over all the chains around Rockville and Bethesda. A couple chefs and one super friendly woman serving the food.
This isn’t the place you go to for a full on dining experience with fancy/expensive cocktails. Because the majority of their business is takeout, everything was served out of to-go containers. As long as you don’t have issues with this, as we didn’t, you’ll enjoy it.

The Sushi Gods answered my prayers! I was looking for a high-quality sushi spot for take out given my preference for exciting specialty rolls, and Sushi House hit the nail on the head. The restaurant is tucked away in one of the plethora of Rockville Pike shopping centers. Upon entering, it looks as though takeout is the only current option, so I would not recommend it for a romantic dinner date. I ordered 3 specialty rolls, and all were extremely fresh and had 5/5 flavor. The Fire Phoenix Roll had the perfect distribution of spice from the spicy tuna and spicy salmon and savory from the tempura shrimp. The crunchy spicy scallops set off the Inner Harbor Roll. Last but not least, the Kent Island Roll, my personal favorite, was elevated by the addition of old bay to the spicy crab meat; 11/10 on the deliciousness scale. If you like creative, flavorful sushi, you have to give this spot a try.

Sushi house is my go to Japanese restaurant. Food is fresh and delicious. The service is excellent. Dellia is always with big smile. I love the place. Looks like they did some remodeling to the interior recently. Looks nice.

Ordered carry out for dinner. Decent service, decent entrees, and bland sushi. The sushi and sashimi portions were generous, but surprisingly tasteless. Even the smoked eel rolls had little flavor, which I didn’t think was possible. The wasabi was very potent though.
We got two teriyaki dishes: chicken and salmon. Both the chicken and salmon had been steamed with the teriyaki sauce added on afterwards. While it tasted good, teriyaki is supposed to be grilled with the sauce added while cooking, not poured on afterwards. As positives, they gave us generous portions of meat and edamame. The salad, miso soup, and rice portions were decent.
Overall, if I were to come again, I would come for the lunch bento boxes.
