I took my daughter here recently, and we were both blown away. It’s located in a converted old church at the top of Bradford, which makes the whole experience even cooler—it’s not every day you get your gyoza in such a unique, atmospheric setting.
The food was spot on: incredibly fresh, excellent quality, and very reasonably priced. It’s honest, well-made sushi that doesn’t try to be something it isn’t, and the service was just as welcoming as the building is impressive. It’s a fantastic independent spot that’s well worth the visit.

Sushi Home Town never disappoints! The katsu curry was rich and flavorful, perfectly crispy on the outside and tender inside. The tempura sushi and dragon rolls were both fresh, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor. I also tried the masala prawn rice, which was a fantastic surprise — perfectly spiced and full of juicy prawns. The portions were generous, and the service was friendly and attentive. Highly recommend for anyone who loves top-quality Japanese food with a twist!

We have eaten twice from this business and their food is very good, tastes fresh and home made, very good quality and care in what they do. The flavours are amazing especially the Chicken Katsu Noodle Pot. The sushi, Chicken Teriyaki Ramen, Karaage, and Chicken Katsu Curry are also amazing. Thank you for your work !!

I’ve been going for a few weeks now. Love the yakisoba. The staff are lovely too, very friendly and accommodating. Good food, which tastes fresh and flavourful. Would recommend.

It was worth the 7000 steps to walk to Sushi Home Town. Definitely not what we expected as the restaurant was in a church.
Very clean and the service was friendly and warm. It was late on Friday night and we were the only customers there. Had to wait 15-20 minutes for the sushi which was good as you know they were made fresh to order.
Looked amazing when they were set on to our table but the taste was even better.
We’ve had sushi everywhere we go and this is one of the best if not the best tasting sushi we’ve tried. It was so nice we ordered another 24 piece selection to takeaway.

We will definitely be visiting again when we’re in Bradford.

I have been getting sushi at Sushi Hometown for the past year/ year and half, and they absolutely have never disappointed. Consistently the best sushi around.
If you eat in, the food is presented on the plates so beautifully, which honestly are quite the masterpieces. This never fails to add to the experience.
Also – the friendliest of staff at the counter and you always get a warm welcome with lots of smiles.
All in all I could not recommend Sushi Hometown more.

First time ordering from Sushi Home Town and we definitely would like to order again. Fresh sushi platter and two main meals were all delicious and presented well. The service was quick with home delivery. The katsu chicken curry was the star of the show, would highly recommend.

We booked the place for a private function/ party here just because of the food.
Very friendly and accommodating staff. We had to access the kitchen quickly for something and they gave one person permission to come in. Impeccable cleanliness, which was a pleasure to see at a sushi place.

Was recommended this place by a colleague a while ago but only got the chance to try it yesterday. Absolutely delicious and would 100% recommend. We loved it so much that we went back today to try the yakisoba and to get the 40pcs combo mix. Yesterday we had 24pcs then ordered a further 12pcs + the jhol momo. You cannot beat the taste and quality, not to mention the price! The best sushi in Yorkshire, for sure! Prior to this my favourite sushi place was in Leeds but so happy there’s one closer to home 🙂 thanks to the staff for being so welcoming and friendly too!

Great place to get some delicious sushi with quick service and a calm atmosphere. The 24 piece combo is great for 2-3 people, or if your very hungry/an avid eater, for 1 person. The chicken Yakisoba was also very tasty with a good balance of vegetables and chicken. Ended up ordering more fried rolls because of the texture and taste being the best from the 24 piece. Although the access to the place is a little confusing being an old church facing away from the addressed road, the accessibility is not a problem. Would highly recommend coming here if you like sushi or even want to try some sushi.
