The decor is beautiful, but service was mediocre. Food came quickly, though the sushi (Dragon Roll and Chef’s Choice) was too humid and lacked flavor. Menus are old and the online menu isn’t updated, they no longer serve the nagaki samplers we came for. Plates and chairs need an upgrade, and with the entrance door open, mosquitos bothered us at the table. An okay experience, but not enough to order dessert.

Much tastier, better quality food than I expected! Considering the place has no branding (“sushi & hibachi to go” is the business name, really? ) and the exterior is ugly in a bad part of town right next to a super busy road, my expectations were low – but the food was delicious and very good value for money!
Next time I order takeout from here I’ll get photos to add to my review, but we had several sushi rolls (great value with the BOGOF deal) and hibachi, gyoza and spring rolls and all were really good, IMO the hibachi is way better quality than Tokyo Grill with generous portions too. Recommend!

We love sushi and ordered very basic salmon rolls. They tastier super fishy which is a sign of not being fresh. My kids who always devour sushi wouldn’t eat more than one.

Amazing sushi and the best egg roll I have ever had. Was my first time visiting and definitely won’t be the last. Did an online order at lunch time and my order was ready in 10 mins.

We have indulged in this place multiple times, and I have forgotten to review until today.
Our usual is Harumaki(spring rolls) and tofu, mixed veggies (broccoli, onion, carrot, zucchini), and lo mein noodles. We have also enjoyed the teriyaki eggplant and tried different types of their sushi.
My only fuss is that sometimes, the sushi ingredients are just slightly less fresh, but not enough for me to say they are “off.” It just sometimes tastes as though it wasn’t cut up and used in the last twenty-four hours, but that only happened with the omelet and only once. Don’t let that stop you, though! There is no guarantee that tomorrow will not be different. Their specialty sushi is also buy one get one free!

Their storefront is small and has only two bar stools, making it a stop and go type of location. However, I like that about it. There is no dining room to get dirty or torn up, no crowd of people, no loud room. It is just their kitchen and some standing room. The owners are incredibly nice, too, and the woman has brought our food out to our car more than once. (She tried to bring it during rain, but my fiancé had the umbrella at the door for her, so she didn’t have to.)

First visit… the sushi was a great price and tasted really good. I love crunchy California rolls but the crunchy rolls here have tempura shrimp. It was still good but it was fried hard. I asked if she could put sauce on the California rolls as well and she did. It really enhanced the flavor. My daughter tried the sesame chicken and rice. She said it was good but I noticed there wasn’t any sauce on the chicken. We will definitely be back… buy one get one free sushi rolls will allow me to order my favorite while trying something new.

Loved this place! Definitely had many orders going out with their third party delivery services. My sushi was delicious and the hibachi was just as good. Food came out fast! Loved to see the meat right there in front. Will be going back.

Dingy little takeout place in a rough spot with difficult access if you are heading West on Elmwood. Quick, nice staff.
Flavor of sauce below average for teriyaki, but they pulled off the rare feat of keeping white meat chicken chunks tender and juicy, and the veggies still crunchy. That goes a long way in my book and so I enjoyed it. Price high at $12, but it was a huge portion so I’m satisfied. Yum yum sauce more gingery and sweet than most places heavy mayo one. I liked it, but the size tub was way too small for the amount of food, same with an extra $0.50 eel sauce tub.
I’ll come back and update w more dishes.
Update: I’ve since had red curry chicken, also very good. However, was disappointed in hibachi steak and shrimp, both overcooked and tough, and the basic hibachi flavor not as good as teriyaki or curry. Gonna stick with chicken from now on. Also, note that online ordering has an extra service charge, so call instead.
