My wife and I stopped into Sushi Haya after pulling the sale sign on one of our listings, and it was the perfect way to celebrate! The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed, the service was friendly and attentive, and the food was incredibly fresh and beautifully presented.
And you can’t beat the value, all you can eat for $20! For the quality and variety, that’s an amazing deal. Every roll we tried was packed with flavor, and everything came out quickly.
Great vibe, great service, and outstanding sushi. We’ll definitely be back!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 – Amazing Experience at Sushi Haya!**

I had such a fantastic experience at **Sushi Haya**! The service was absolutely excellent — our waitress was so sweet, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect the entire time. The tables were always spotless, and empty plates were picked up right away.

All of the sushi was *delicious* — fresh, beautifully made, and served so quickly. You can really tell they care about quality and presentation. The **all-you-can-eat** option is an incredible deal at just $30 — you can try anything on the menu as long as you finish what you order. Everything we tried was amazing, from the rolls to the appetizers!

I’ll definitely be coming back soon. Highly recommend Sushi Haya to anyone who loves great sushi, fast service, and friendly staff!

My family and I recently dined at Sushi Haya to celebrate my mother’s birthday, and it was an amazing experience from start to finish! As first-time visitors, we were a bit unsure of what to expect, but our server, Crystal, made everything so easy and enjoyable. She was extremely helpful, attentive, and friendly, ensuring that our meal went smoothly and we had everything we needed.
We opted for the all-you-can-eat option, and everything we tried was delicious! From appetizers like crispy gyoza and savory Crab Rangoon to fresh salads, everything was really good. The sushi was delicious– not only was it fresh and tasty, but it was also beautifully presented.
Crystal went above and beyond by bringing out a special birthday treat for my mom. She surprised us with a bowl of ice cream, a candle, and even sang Happy Birthday! It was such a nice touch that really made the evening feel extra special.

My husband and I came in very hungry but regretted our decision once the food came out. The miso soup and sushi were fine, but the clear onion soup I got was extremely salty. He ate his food but said his chicken katsu was very dry & he had to drown it in sauce. For some reason, they didn’t use any tonkatsu sauce. This is a very american restaurant and the ginger sauce on the salad was also extremely watery. I can forgive using bagged iceberg lettuce but the dressing was so watered down, it lacked a lot of flavor. The worst transgression was ordering the fish “katsu” and expecting an actual fish filet. I was served sliced up fish sticks. I gave it a chance and couldn’t deny what I was eating.

Perhaps it was my mistake on ordering the bento boxes here but if you’re going to eat expensive food, there’s way better quality elsewhere at restaurants that don’t cut corners.

I recently visited Sushi Haya here in San Antonio for the first time, hoping for a good Japanese dining experience. The restaurant looked clean and welcoming from the outside, and I was excited to finally try it since I’d heard a few mixed reviews. Unfortunately, my first impression didn’t quite match what I was expecting.

The service was one of the main issues. Our orders took noticeably longer than anticipated. Even though the restaurant wasn’t particularly crowded, we waited far too long for basic items. By the time the food came out, the excitement had already faded, which really affects the overall dining mood. A simple sushi meal shouldn’t take that long to prepare or serve.

When the food finally arrived, the quality was just okay — definitely not great. The sushi pieces didn’t have that freshness or flavor balance you’d expect from a Japanese restaurant. Some rolls were a bit dry, and the rice wasn’t as well-seasoned as it should be. It wasn’t bad enough to send back, but also not good enough to want to order again.

I feel like there’s potential here, but the restaurant really needs to work on consistency and attention to detail. Presentation matters too — sushi is supposed to look vibrant and appetizing, but these plates looked rushed. For the price, I honestly expected something more refined and satisfying.

Customer service could use improvement as well. The staff were polite, but they seemed overwhelmed or disorganized. There wasn’t much communication about delays, and no one checked in to see if we needed anything while waiting. A simple apology or update would’ve gone a long way.

Overall, I’d give Sushi Haya a barely two-star rating for now. It’s not the worst place in town, but it’s far from the best. With faster service, fresher ingredients, and a bit more care in the details, it could become a much better spot. For now, though, it’s probably not a restaurant I’d rush back to.

Sushi Haya stands out as one of the finest sushi establishments in the city, delivering an exceptional balance of freshness, craftsmanship, and hospitality. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere signals a commitment to quality. The ingredients are remarkably fresh—each cut of fish clean, vibrant, and skillfully prepared. Even familiar staples feel elevated here, and specialty rolls showcase a thoughtful blend of creativity and technique.

What distinguishes Sushi Haya even further is its impeccable service. The staff operate with a level of attentiveness and professionalism that enhances the entire meal. They anticipate needs without hovering, offer informed recommendations, and maintain a warm, welcoming energy throughout the dining experience.

Altogether, Sushi Haya is more than a reliable sushi spot—it is one of the city’s premier destinations for anyone who appreciates high-quality ingredients, careful preparation, and top-tier service. Whether for a casual outing or a special occasion, it consistently delivers excellence. The price is also fair for the product that is delivered.

Good place for dinner. They do all you can eat or alacarte. The menus are separate. The sour fruit kiss (gin cocktail) was very tasty. We also asked for hot water and it came in an adorable cast iron kettle that kept it nice and steaming for our entire meal. The wait staff was attentive and the food was good. Had the basic all you can eat sushi dishes.

Stopped by for lunch after watching a movie at the nearby theater. Didn’t know there was an All You Can Eat option until we arrived. After ordering about 2 dishes, it’s cheaper than ordering A La Carte. The only catch is everyone at the table must order it or it’s not an option. It makes sense as it prevents others sharing the All You Can Eat.

Menu is pretty large with a lot of options of sushi, sashimi, rolls, cooked items, appetizers, grilled options, etc… Service was fast and constantly came by for additional orders for All You Can Eat. Some items were of better quality than others, but was good overall.
