Disappointed! Went here around 4:30 and it was not busy. Cute place inside. However the sushi took around 30/40 minutes and tiny rolls. It was not fresh. The seaweed around my roll was chewy and tough. They also put tiny fish eggs in the Kani salad which was disugusting. Food was pricey, took forever and was not worth the wait. Side order of rice was bland and dry. Would not recommend this place.
Seaweed (nori) on sushi becomes tough and chewy primarily due to absorbing excess moisture from hot, wet, or improperly prepared rice, or from sitting too long before consumption.

Wow I have been really excited to see this sushi bar actually open. At this date they weren’t actually serving alcohol and I was a little disappointed but still the food was a breath of fresh air. I miss Santa Monica California for its great sushi and was pleasantly surprised to find they serve my favorite, Tobiko with a quail egg. I also had the “Angry Dragon Roll”, the “Spicy Kani Salad” and the “Hana Special Sandwich Roll”. Their menu is six pages including items for every palate. Vegetarian, kid meals, teriyaki, udon soup and many delicious salads.

I’ve tried the Beef Negimaki and it’s by far my favorite main dish from this place. The building used to be a b&d burger but what they have done with this place is amazing. If yall would a s sushi recommendation I would say get the monster roll the flavor is so good, the mango really brings out the sweet flavor. The service is remarkable and they were all super sweet.

2nd time dining at Sushi Hana on Abercorn. Food is always so fresh and delicious, we have yet to try something that isn’t good. We’ve had both Hayden and Kailey as servers, and they hands down give some of the best service in the southside. We couldn’t recommend this place enough. If you’re looking for fresh and flavorful sushi, definitely check this place out!

My wife and I had dinner at Sushi Hana and absolutely loved it! We started with the fried calamari appetizer (tempura style) — it was cooked perfectly, crispy, and packed with flavor. For mains, I ordered the Philly Roll and Snow Beauty Roll, and both were fresh, delicious, and beautifully made. The fish tasted incredibly fresh, and I was thrilled they offered gluten-free soy sauce (something I almost never find). My wife ordered the Chicken Katsu and Beef Negimaki Bento Box and couldn’t stop raving about it — she especially loved the miso soup and the light, flavorful breading on the chicken.
Our server, Kailey, was fantastic! She was super friendly, helpful in explaining the menu, and checked in with us multiple times. She made us laugh and kept the experience fun while making sure we had everything we needed. The food came out in under 10 minutes, which was impressive.
The atmosphere around 8:30 pm was relaxed with a cozy dinner vibe. The bar wasn’t open yet, and it seems like the restaurant is still getting fully set up, but that didn’t take away from how great the evening was. We’ll definitely be back — especially once the bar is up and running.
Overall, Sushi Hana gets a solid 5/5 from us. Delicious food, excellent service, and a warm, welcoming experience. Highly recommend! And I’m so excited to see a new place like this flourish on the Southside.

First time trying this location on Abercorn as I usually go to the pooler location. The inside was beautifully redesigned and cozy. The food presentation was beautiful but the food overall was very bland lacking seasoning or at least salt and pepper. But honestly their other locations have the same bland taste. I just feel like for the price, the food is not up to par. The service was okay. Our waitress was fairly monotone. Overall, decent environment but probably won’t make this my go to for Japanese food in Savannah.

Absolutely amazing sushi spot! Everything was fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. The chefs clearly put a lot of care into every dish, and the service was warm and attentive from start to finish. The atmosphere was cozy and clean — perfect for both dining in or takeout. Highly recommend their signature rolls and sashimi — some of the best I’ve had in the area. I’ll definitely be coming back soon!

This sushi spot is amazing! I got the Mango Tango Roll and the Rainbow Roll — both were absolutely incredible. The flavors were super fresh and perfectly balanced, and the presentation was beautiful, almost too pretty to eat! Honestly, this might be some of the best sushi I’ve ever had. The place has such a cozy, relaxing vibe, and I’m really glad there’s somewhere like this on the Southside of Savannah. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better.
