It did take a little while for the set to arrive, but the staff softened the wait by bringing out complimentary edamame — a thoughtful touch that made the experience feel more welcoming. Once the sushi hit the table, it was worth the wait. Presentation was elegant without being over the top, and everything tasted as good as it looked.
Prices were fair for the quality — not bargain sushi by any means, but very reasonable given the freshness and variety.
Overall, Sushi Goemon is one of those spots that feels like a hidden gem — patient service, high-quality fish, and the kind of care that makes you want to come back. Definitely a place I’d recommend for anyone looking for sushi that balances quality with value.
I ordered the Red Dragon, Baked Salmon Roll, Hamachi, Pork Belly Skewer, Chicken Skewer, Bottle of Sake, Large Draft Beer, and Rainbow Roll.
I ate all that myself while I was doing one of my livestreams. Everything came out pretty fast. The pork belly skewers were phenomenal. I really liked the tasty baked salmon roll. So creamy and good. The Hamachi was fresh and tender. The Red Dragon was delish as well.
This is in my top 5 favorite places now for sushi in the city.
I’ll be back soon!

First off, had the daiginjo sake flight and it was super smooth with a variety of flavors.
Started with 1) hamachi with truffle oil, radish, micro greens and avocado and 2) uni gem (uni, quail egg, salmon roe in a spoon) and 3) an sashimi omakase sampler. All of this was super fresh and almost buttery with unique flavors. Definitely get the Kizami Wasabi to pair with your sashimi
Added 4 rolls: 1) hamachi jalapeno 2) ishikawa roll 3) kombucha white tuna 4) tropical. Maki was well balanced rice to ingredients and not really thick fat pieces which I appreciated. The scallop was silky and not rubbery at all. The kombucha was really unique and just flat out delicious (the slight tempura added the perfect crunch) and the tropical was definitely unique and like a good way to end the meal. The macadamia nut balanced the sweetness of the mango and unagi well. We left not stuffed, but not hungry at all either.
Server forgot the miso (part of omakase), but it wasn’t that much of a loss, they brought out edamame and extra Kizami Wasabi during the meal as it was taking longer than expected. As we were leaving we had a really homey conversation with the manager who is so sweet. It’s definitely a neighborhood spot and I’ll be back!
