I had a rainbow roll and miso soup. My total was $14.85 after tax.
The roll wasn’t awful. The rice was slightly overcooked, so it was mushy. It also didn’t taste like there was any vinegar. The avocado, salmon, and shrimp looked fresh. The miso soup was piping hot. It was hard to open the bowl because the surface was 163°F according to my phone’s thermometer. There were a few pieces of tofu and seaweed.
I sat in the dining area, which was pretty clean and can accommodate up to 16 people and a small child comfortably (high-chair available). The restroom was closed when I visited. The music was a mix of Cantonese and Mandarin songs. It’s quiet enough for a conversation.
As for the ordering process, you can use a kiosk or order with an employee, then sit down and wait until your number is called.
Everything is packaged to-go. They’ve gotten rid of their branded packaging and use generic options.
Definitely one of the best sushi spots we’ve ordered!
When I walked in, the person behind the register was bent over working on something. He didn’t acknowledge me when I entered, which I let slide. I politely asked whether I should order at the kiosk or through him since I wanted to know what their most popular roll was.
He clicked something on the screen without making eye contact, and the interaction felt very dismissive. When I asked what the most popular roll was, he answered “Lion King,” but the way he said it, short, no eye contact my whole visit, no interest in helping, made it clear he wasn’t trying to engage with me as a customer. His tone and body language made me feel like I was bothering him or interrupting him, even though the restaurant had no other customers.
The whole interaction gave the impression that they were pushing customers away rather than welcoming them. Because of the attitude and lack of basic customer service, I decided not to place an order and left. I was genuinely interested in trying their food, but no one has to settle for being treated that way.
I hope they improve the customer experience going forward.
Didn’t even get the opportunity to try the food yet and something happened that made me never want to return.
I’m the only customer in the store and they are making my order and I hear someone let out a loud burp while making/packing my food. I get it, we are human and when you gotta burp you gotta burp. But at the very least go away from the food, take a quick step to the side!
Anyways the food itself can be best classified as “All you can eat” style sushi. The rice isn’t seasoned, and it makes the sushi taste bland.
The only plus is presentation
They don’t use sushi rice (lol), and it isn’t seasoned so it’s weird and bland. It’s like they understand what sushi should look like, but not how to make it well. Safeway sushi is better, that’s
Fish seemed clean… They got hygiene and refrigeration going ok.
