The Waygu was outta this world and worth every penny. They do have a good variety of pricing as well as selections. The service was above and beyond phenomenally amazing. The atmosphere was beautiful and wonderful. And the place did fill up pretty fast. Bravo
We will definitely be back.

This is a Japanese cuisine gem in the twin cities. If you are looking for a restaurant that is truly passionate about Japanese food, this is where to go.
Their rolls are ridiculously large and extravagant!
However, they have other authentic Japanese foods.
The dashi stock base is lovely
Their sushi bar is very wide and during the rush, there are a lot of sushi chefs working. It’s a vibe!
The food is pricey compared to other sushi restaurants, but you really do get what you pay for. Huge portions and exceptional cuisine.
As someone who has been to Japan, I would recommend!

The food was decent, but the service left a lot to be desired. I ordered three rounds: the premium nigiri plate, a lobster handroll with “Wagyu bacon,” and the Wagyu nigiri. The nigiri was well-prepared, nicely presented, and carefully cut. Unfortunately, the lobster roll was disappointing—the “Wagyu bacon” turned out to be gristly trimmings that were tough and unpleasant to eat.
The bigger issue was the service. Although I arrived at 7:30, my lobster roll didn’t come out until 8:30. By then, staff was already closing down the kitchen, vacuuming, and cleaning around diners, even though the restaurant advertises being open until 9. This created a rushed, uncomfortable atmosphere. To add to that, my server wanted out so bad she kept interrupting me to try to rush the service. The final straw was that at 8:40, with several tables still in the restaurant, the bus boy sprayed down the sushi counter with windex while I was eating. While the sushi chef did apologize, the overall experience was undermined by slow service and the early shutdown.
In short, the food had potential, but the execution and service made the visit less enjoyable than expected, and management was no where to be seen.

Sushi Fix is hands down my all-time go to spot for sushi.
My wife treated me to a late Father’s Day dinner and as always, we had an amazing time. The recent renovation really opened up the space. It feels more inviting and much less cramped, which makes the dining experience even better. The sashimi was incredibly fresh, and the rolls were generous in both size and flavor. We’re regulars when it comes to the udon noodle, silly roll, and sashimi platter. Everything on the menu consistently delivers bold, delicious flavors.
While the price can be on the higher end, the top-notch quality and unforgettable taste make it well worth it. Sushi Fix isn’t just a meal. It’s an experience we keep coming back for.

High-quality sushi! My wife and I love it here for date nights. Always a fan of the Double D roll (and not just because of my name…it’s good!). Their space was limited recently due to a remodel project, but I believe that’s nearing completion (or done at this point).
Sushi rolls are in the $15 to $30 price range depending on if it’s a speciality roll or not.

I’ve been to this restaurant in the past. It’s newly renovated since the last time we came in. Amazing sushi with zero service. Rolls were well designed and crafted. Price went up dramatically. Average atmosphere and decor per its price. Warning if you’re Asian and not dressed up. The local senior customers were quite demanding – servers were very busy chatting with those ladies and maintaining good relationship. Servers did not recognize other customers were ready to order, nor had time to bring food from chef to the table. We do appreciate the thinner male server checking on us during the meal and refill our hot water. I had been watching our prepared sushi from the chef, ready for us, for 5mins. The sushi was just seating there in room temperature, exposed – just a few steps away from us. No one was paying attention to bring it to our table. The chef had to call store manager to bring it to us. Did not feel welcomed from the moment we walked in – front desk was not happy seeing Asians coming in. Despite there were a lot of open tables, we were being seated close to the restroom and kitchen, and it’s very busy where servers need to walk by us a lot. It would be great if we could be seated near the window or away from the restrooms.

Very good location. I love Wayzata, next to the lake. The restaurant was ok. The service was nice. The food was good. I loved the wagyu nigiri. I also had the Boo Boo sushi, Bluffing Tsunami, and Toro Mania. All good, very big in size. We couldn’t finish it. I didn’t know this was similar to Billy sushi. Wagyu is not japanese wagyu, I want to say it has to be some kind of Amrican Wagyu. Not bad!

The Tuna Poke was so good, the raw fish melts in your mouth. The Wagyu roll was not all that the meat was almost well done, it tastes just like any grilled Korean BBQ. Gremlin Roll was really good, better than the Jackie Chan roll. Waited almost 2 hours so be prepared to wait. Will still come back to try more food and update here.

Sushi Fix is *the* place to go for Sushi if you even remotely live in the area. Never have we had something that wasn’t fresh! On top of that their chefs are amazing, if you’re feeling adventurous you MUST give up control and let them do their omakase option. The chefs make things off menu that are mind blowing. There’s a reason why you’ll wait during a normal dinner time rush, so get some apps and a sake and enjoy! There’s no reason to go downtown and pay for parking/fight traffic/pay more for less food.

This was our first time trying out Sushi Fix. We thought it would be a fun date night and head to Wayzata on a Sunday evening. Would highly recommend getting here right when it opens. We were able to get a spot at the sushi bar within about 5 minutes of coming but it took over an hour to get our food after ordering.
I started with green tea which came in a cool heavy teapot. We got the calamari salad and gyoza apps to start. The calamari salad was good and reminded me of ceviche. It was a raw and cold salad. The gyoza was ok. We stuck with all rolls for our entrees. We were recommended the Screaming “O” as the most popular roll on the menu. It was wrapped in tin foil and heated with a torch. Highly recommend this one!! We also tried the BooBoo. Also really good but not as good as the first one. A little spicier. We ended with the mochi ice cream and tried 3 different flavors. So good.
Overall had an ok experience. Our server was nice but seemed really busy and didn’t check on us too often. Would potentially go back but will probably try other sushi places before making the drive to Wayzata again due to the cost and how long it took to get our rolls.
