My bf and I were craving sushi and stumbled upon this place randomly. This restaurant is located in the corner of busy, small parking plaza! It was easy to join the yelp waitlist. It’s a pretty busy spot as it’s pretty small, but there is both indoor and outdoor seating available. Parking is limited, but free in the parking lot. The food was delicious and a great price as well. Our bill was $50 for 3 rolls and 6 nigiri’s. Servers were all welcoming and friendly. Great service. This is definitely a hidden gem and I will for sure be back!

Nigiri: (5/5) The fish was sooo fresh and melted in my mouth. I tried the yellowtail, salmon, and bluefin tuna. I ended up ordering more. You also can’t beat the price!
Salmon avocado roll: (5/5) Presentation was ugly but the flavor was amazing. Good sized roll and salmon was very fresh.

This place is the perfect confluence of, price, quality, and locality for me. Solid Sushi at the prices asked, and not once have I had an issue here. Is it Michelin star, of course not. But the fish is fresh and well prepared, with excellent and accommodating service.
If you are in the area, or live in the area this is very much worth a stop for a great local Sushi place.

This is the best sushi place I have found in Costa Mesa. The sushi chef is so talented and generous. He made us some special sauces for our humongous order of food. It was all so delicious and appreciated by my family. The Toro is next level. Everything is just so fresh delicious and better than what you would expect. We have been coming here for a few years and love bringing friends to this gem

Absolutely love Sushi District! The food is great and very reasonably priced. I got the seaweed salad and cucumber roll, which were both delicious. The service was excellent with extremely attentive servers, and the restaurant itself has a welcoming, intimate atmosphere.

The service and seating options are great; location is nice too with clean restrooms. Servers are very helpful and attentive which is a huge plus! However, the appetizers tasted better than the sushi itself. I felt like the quality of the fish was not good; the tuna wasn’t fresh and the texture was off putting. The sushi rice was too loose and made eating it more difficult. The pricing seemed decent for the area and their lunch sets seem like a good deal, but I can’t say I highly recommend it. Their non-fish items were much tastier.

By far the best spicy garlic edamame I’ve had. It’s special. If you get it, get a rice dish to soak up the extra marinade. Asahi on draught. Quality/clean food at excellent prices. Attentive/quick service. Neighborhood gem.
