We’ve created a cozy, surf-shack atmosphere where you can relax and enjoy an authentic taste of the islands. Our mission is to serve delicious, high-quality Japanese food with a Hawaiian flair at prices that everyone can enjoy. Our menu features ultra-fresh, locally sourced tuna, freshly caught by local fishermen, and uses local avocado from the farms around town in both classic and creative rolls, from the beloved California Roll to our signature Red Hot Lava roll. The atmosphere is nothing super fancy but the food is fresh and my server was kind. Honestly really good at a great price. I would come here again. I got the Hot Lava Roll (amazing) has poke style on top, The Spicy Alaska Roll, and the Hawaiian California roll (has mango and it’s SO fresh) . Those 3 rolls were more than enough for me. I also got a Poke bowl to go and that was just as amazing and fresh. Overall I’d recommend the Hot Lava, The poke bowl or the Hawaiian California the most. Really delicious and fresh rolls. Smaller space so call ahead of time to reserve your table. Staff is super friendly as well.

Stumbled upon this spot while walking the town & so glad we did! Great price for just the basic rolls, we got tuna, salmon, & hamachi. They all came with sriracha mayo on it which was nice. Beers were very cold & sushi was fresh & quick. A place I’d stop again if in the area.

Delicious! We had a wait but it was well worth it! We got various sushi rolls, miso soup and seaweed salad and loved every bite.

The Kona sunset was nothing like I’ve ever eaten before in the BEST way. SOOO good. And then the LAVA spam katsu and ahi katsu were all tied for favorite of the night. The rest was delicious too, but these three really stood out!

My goodness, such a hidden gem! The sushi was so fresh and delicious! Give the plum wine a try! Might be some of the best sushi we have had! Definitely will come back! Highly recommend.

Amazing food. Didn’t think some of the combos would work but they definitely did, like the tempura pineapple with macadamia nut ice cream. Very decent prices for hawaii also. Seemed to just be one server working the whole floor but she was fast and diligent. Would come again!

A great hidden gem found with amazing food and great service. Opened 7 days a week for lunch and dinner service options. We enjoyed the Hamachi Kama, Green tea cheesecake and the various rolls we ordered.

Really great service, great food, and cute space. We were able to walk-in and also liked they had options for vegetarians as well. People in our group said the chicken teriyaki bowl was the best they had. The sweet potato tempura was crispy and delicious and the sushi and nigiri were also smooth and delicious.

Always stop by here when I’m on the Kona side. Today, I got the 7 piece nigiri combo special which came with miso soup and it was delicious! Always quick service and friendly staff. Green tea cheese cake to finish and lunch is complete. Definitely stop by if you’re ever in Kailua Kona on Ali’i drive
