We love Cocoro. We are very lucky in our area of New Jersey – Which has a lot of great sushi, of course – to have a Cocoro so close. My kids are sushi fanatics and every place we go to anywhere in this country or Asia because my kids are part Asian part Italian …They still think Cocoro is better even among California spots Where are my 25 year old son, lives – He is a sushi fanatic and is always trying to find a place to be as good as his hometown place and he can’t find it. I can’t believe it’s been over 20 years. I remember when you first opened- man time flies by the same lady very classy lady still owns it. Actually, we’re going tonight the night after Thanksgiving 2025. We’re on the way there in about a half hour .

The sushi was surprisingly good! The spicy tuna roll was especially excellent. We stopped by here on our way upstate and hesitated because the place was empty. Nevertheless, we gave it a shot and were very pleasantly surprised.

Clean restaurant, came at lunchtime, there were no visitors. We were served very quickly. Good service. Nice music. The sushi was very tasty, fresh ingredients. At the end, they treated us to free mochi ice cream. It was very nice.

Update- food and service remain outstanding. Monster price increases. 25% in some instances. Did costs really jump that dramatically, or is this just an example of “whatever the market will bear”? Disappointed. Will start using other restaurants since there’s no longer a price benefit.
The food is consistently excellent. Great service, so friendly. Prices are reasonable for the area- that’s saying something as there’s a lot of competition within minutes of their front door. In fact, it’s the combination of a consistency and price that keeps us coming back.
