BEST nigiri restaurant in Boston. Every time I come, it somehow keeps getting better. My sister ordered the US Wagyu Roast Beef Maki and the Spicy Tuna Maki, both were excellent, beautifully balanced and full of flavor. I stuck with what I always get, Bosso’s Omakase Nigiri, which is consistently flawless and the reason I keep coming back.
We finished with the hojicha mochi and the soy sauce ice cream, both outstanding and the perfect ending to the meal. Juan Camilo hosted our table and was absolutely fantastic, attentive, warm, and made the entire experience feel effortless. Truly a top-tier experience every single time.

Best meal my girlfriend and I have had in a long time. The owner was our server and he was extremely kind & thoughtful with our whole experience!

We were greeted with a complementary matcha green tea (the good stuff) while we looked over the menu and was topped off throughout the night. We proceeded to take all of his recommendations for a tasting of his favorite dishes!

Fantastic night, amazing atmosphere, fairly priced, & authentic as it gets. Thank you!!

One of the best Japanese restaurants I’ve had the pleasure of dining at, even after visiting Japan. The food was truly amazing, with great-quality nigiri and sashimi, topped off with outstanding service. The waiters were really nice and friendly, especially the ones we spoke with: Luna, Nicole, and Robert. The owner Yasu also greeted and welcomed us. You can ask for matcha tea at no extra cost. I will definitely come back!

Solid sushi that sits between a casual spot and a higher end place. Nigiri is straightforward and well made, with reasonably fresh fish. The potato salad combination (curry style and Japanese style with fried potato skin) is a nice, creative touch. Dessert is served on a chilled stone plate, which looks great, though it makes the mochi a bit firm. Overall a decent, thoughtful option without being overly fancy.

This place is so amazing! I’ve been in Boston for 10 years now and this instantly shot to one of my top favorite restaurants. The creamy uni udon was insanely delicious!! Creamy but not heavy, perfectly umami broth and chewy noodles! Also the potato salad — I was so surprised at how delicious it was! Perfect mix of sweet and salty and soft and crunchy! The 13 piece nigiri set was beautiful and high quality too 🙂 We love all the by bosso restaurants — try the ramen place in Harvard Sq if you haven’t yet!

The owner made the experience. We came here for our first anniversary and got the Sunday afternoon AYCE selection, and it got BUSY. Understandably, the staff were a bit overwhelmed and busy. At first we couldn’t get in because the hostess said it’ll be better to have a reservation, so we went outside, booked the reservation, and got in, which seemed quite silly.

The space is okay but a bit on the tighter side, and we had maybe a ten minute wait between each session, again it was busy and sometimes we felt unseen, but the owner jumped in. You can tell he takes good care of his restaurant and customers. They allow for 6 pcs per person per order. The salmon was the best, it’s a cut above the rest – soft and buttery. The spicy tuna also wasn’t bad.

Towards the end when the lunch rush died down, the rest of the staff became more attentive. The owner came up and offered us dessert for our anniversary, really nice of him, and the dessert was amazing, another highlight. Great way to spend our anniversary lunch!

I ordered the AYCE option at this restaurant and tried almost everything on the menu that was included without extra charges. The variety felt limited considering the cost of the AYCE sushi. The environment and service were good, but the quality of the fish could be better for the price.

Went here for my birthday last weekend and it was fire! They were really nice even from entering and I had a seat at the bar which was gorgeous with the stained glass like cabinets and the Christmas decorations. Food was primo ultra fresh sushi, had the sea bream and it’s my new favorite and they gave me a big dessert with ice cream spongecake and caramel soy drizzle and as unusual as it sounds it tastes so good ! I’ll be back soon

A sister location of Bosso Ramen Tavern near Harvard University. The ramen here is outstanding as well.

The owner personally trained at ramen shops in Japan and continues to study and refine the flavors.

Highly recommended.

One of the greatest Japanese sushi restaurants I have visited for sure. Sushi was fresh and very authentic just as what you would expect in Japan. Given the Boston location I feel it better guarantees the quality of the freshness.
Other foods were definitely delicious as well such as the potato salad, yellowtail collar and clam chowder croquettes. A must if you are in the Boston location. Ambience was very nice too which can be used for dates, spending time with friends as well as family. As fancy as it was, the restaurant gave a very warm atmosphere for family with small children too. The staffs were definitely helpful in making you feel welcome 🙂
