The sushi was decent and the restaurant clean and inviting just not particularly impressed. Scottsdale prices and portions. May be more inviting for folks who like drinks and cocktails with their meal. Miso soup was good. The hot tea was marginal at best for a whopping $5.50 a cup. Not a bad choice, just not a great one. Atmosphere is good and the servers were friendly. With lots of other options around, not sure I’ll be back.

Server was a bit annoying- she was either on us every 5 seconds to pick a food or disappeared for 15+ minutes at a time.
The menu is nice and has decent prices. The sushi selection is decent but they really get away with using the “spicy tuna, spicy krab” in most things. It took forever to get anything. The atmosphere was nice. Sushi/nigiri prices were bad. It was decent quality/fresh for the yellowtail but could go elsewhere for $8+ for 2 pieces. The snapper was not good

Sushi was good, nice cuts of nigiri and the rolls were pretty good as well. Definitely a pricier sushi place. Got 2 pieces of nigiri, edamame and 4 rolls for $106 with tip it was around $122 for 2 people.

We’re heading.I love that they are open late. And industry workers have somewhere to go. Chris is the best, treated me like I mattered, as I was their final patron of the evening. He surprised me with a hamachi that was tasty, buttery… the coconut lemongrass sake was super good. Two different sizes, perfect.

Good sushi. This place has a good variety of rolls and they have a few dishes for non sushi lovers as well. They have a full bar with a bunch of cocktail choices. I wasn’t a fan of the volcano chicken, all they did was put the chicken in Buffalo sauce which is just not a flavor I expected when coming to a sushi restaurant. Potstickers were a hit, so good. Overall it was a good meal.

It had been 15 years since I had been to this place because I stopped eating fish and moved 2000 miles away. Came back last night to reverse happy hour and it was all of the wonderful things I remembered!

We still love this place and can see why they’re celebrating 25 years:)

It was quiet and slow but service was on point. Kate was sweet and helpful. The bartender made me a delicious mocktail not on the menu. The sushi chef was fast and talented.

We loved all of our rolls! Cowboy, veggie, tamago, spicy salmon, and spicy tuna.

We’ll definitely be back.

My friend and I really enjoyed our dining experience at Sushi Brokers Scottsdale. Our server was friendly and attentive the food was tasty and colorful and the whole atmosphere was a fun place to hang out for the evening.

Wish I had had more room to try more sushi rolls that they offered on their menu and they had a couple of specialty rolls that they rotate from time to time that looked really good when I saw other people order them.

I’ll definitely go back and visit them again the next time I’m on that side of town because who doesn’t love some good sushi with great service?!?!

Overall, I’m giving this spot a 5-stars for the consistency and value. However, I will echo what others mentioned in that, all the food seems to come out all at once and plates are not picked up from the table once done. It means a very busy table! Please, if you see this, consider bringing out soups and appetizers first, main entrees second, and dessert last.

While I’ve been here a few times before, this particular visit, we got a mix of sushi rolls, chicken fried rice, veggie spring rolls, miso soup, and veggie tempura. We really enjoyed all of it. Aside from the table chaos of it all coming at once, we can’t think of any other recommendations/suggestion.

Also, we visited during happy hour and the prices seem very fair for the portions we got. Love this spot for happy hour!

If you choose to visit, I hope you enjoy!

I rarely leave negative reviews but the service here was non-existent. We sat ourselves per the “open seating” policy and waited. And waited. After about 10 minutes of being completely ignored by the staff, we decided our time was better spent at a place that actually enjoys customers. Not a single staff member acknowledged us. No menus, no water, not even a “we’ll be right with you shortly.” If you’re looking for quality service I’d recommend looking elsewhere.

One-Star Review for Sushi Brokers Scottsdale

I dined at Sushi Brokers Scottsdale on Tuesday, March 11th, and this was hands-down the worst dining experience I’ve had in a long time. The restaurant was busy as usual, but I was in the area waiting for a print job at FedEx and decided to give them another chance, despite a previous underwhelming visit.

I ordered miso soup, a small fried rice (no meat), spring rolls, and a Las Vegas roll. The miso soup was the best part—everything else was a disaster. The spring rolls arrived soggy and smashed, with a lingering bad taste of oil. They were clearly frozen and not properly crisped. The fried rice was not fried at all—just white rice drenched in soy sauce, topped with cabbage and a few carrot chunks, completely lacking the signature fried egg.

I watched the sushi being prepared and could tell the itamae (sushi chef) lacked experience. The Las Vegas roll was inedible—soggy tempura, zero flavor, just an overall disappointment. I ended up taking most of the food home but couldn’t even bring myself to eat it later.

The only redeeming factor was my wonderful waitress, who I tipped 18% despite my usual rule against tipping when the food is this bad. She even offered to remove the spring rolls from my bill, but I didn’t want to make a scene.

For over $50, I left hungry and completely dissatisfied. I was so disappointed that I even mentioned my awful experience at FedEx afterward. I will never return.
