The sushi has very generous portions of fish. The Hawaiian roll is twice as big as the ones I find in other cities! Lots of meat! The miso soup was delicious.

This is definitely one of the hidden gems of desert hot springs. Great sushi, a great atmosphere, the owners are authentic, japanese and fun to talk to and interact with. The entrance is not much to look at but once you’re inside You are transported to a true sushi restaurant. I recommend the signature house roll sushi bella. When it comes to restaurants, I am a stickler on cleanliness. This restaurant it is impeccable when it comes to cleanliness. I would give them six stars if I could.

First time trying from this spot and I ordered the plain edamame, gyoza, and spicy scallop roll. The edamame and gyoza were delicious, but the roll could’ve used a tad more flavor. The scallop was delicious and fresh, but it was definitely missing flavor. Besides that, staff was friendly and kind !

Top notch food, service, and atmosphere. I will come back every time we come through Desert Hot Springs. Get the sushi, miso soup, and salmon. Get everything! The cheese wontons!! Omg. Everything was so good! And the staff is beyond amazing. Can’t wait to come back!

I had the privilege of stopping in and eating sushi at this amazing new restaurant called Sushi Bella in Desert Hot Springs California. They’re under new ownership and their grand opening was October 10th 2024. I was so excited to be able to have dinner with my son at this new amazing Sushi/Japanese restaurant. The food was excellent, the fish was fresh, the Asahi and sake was excellent also…. It’s a nice little quaint place where you can enjoy sitting inside or outside dining, the music that is being played in the restaurant is very soothing and like mentioned earlier the atmosphere is very calming and inviting. The place is very clean. I recommend everyone stopping at this new restaurant and trying out the amazing food. You will not be disappointed!.. The new owners are from LA they’re very familiar with Japanese cuisine and sushi bars. So if you’re looking for a nice Sushi / Japanese food restaurant off the 10 freeway next to Palm Springs exit Palm Drive in Desert Hot Springs California definitely give Sushi Bella a try.

Hostess was very friendly & attentive, great suggestions, the sushi was great, saki refreshing & music was fun. I’d bet this is the best sushi in town hands down!
My only suggestion would be to have the sushi chef wear a mask when he’s prepping food

Recently visited with my husband & daughters (6 and 2). The over all experience was fantastic, they greeted us right away, and the food came out super quick. The food was spectacular! The flavor was amazing, compliments to the chef/s. Such great & friendly people we enjoyed every moment & made sure to check up on us constantly to make sure everything meet our standards. This place is a hidden gem! Can’t wait to revisit & know that there will be no disappointment. Only complaint was it was a bit warm inside, but that also could have been because of the ramen we had & the heat wave we are going into.
