Lived nearby for a few years but just tried for the first time. The Reviews are accurate. They have some really fresh fish and really good flavors in the rolls. Owner was super friendly and you can tell he cares about his food and your experience. Stoked this is so close by, will definitely be our new local sushi spot!

Quaint restaurant, nice atmosphere, excellent service. I ordered salted edamame (picture is after I finished it!), sashimi and veggie fried rice. I make my own sushi by layering salmon and tuna over veggie fried rice and then add sirachi for a little kick.

This is a very small sushi restaurant. Only about eight tables in a small sushi bar. What really sets this aside is the rolls are not your standard rolls, they have quite a unique selection across multiple different styles.
They have been closed for a while, due to a family emergency, but back open now and catering to their clientele. I recommend you try this especially for the non-standard selection of rolls.

Sushi4Reel is absolutely amazing! Don’t let its Oceanside strip mall location fool you. The food is great. You know how at some sushi restaurants the spicy tuna is weirdly textured? This was not like that. I had the paradise roll, fresh and flavorful miso soup, and tasted my husbands tri-tip. The service was good too. This is my first visit but it won’t be my last. I’ve found a new hangout spot! P.S. the decor and music add to the ambiance!

If you’ve ever been to Japan or ate at a sensible Japanese restaurant anywhere in the world, you know this place is garbage. This is an insult to American junk food!
We ordered the katsu chicken, which was shocking. A tiny amount of chicken, heavily fried with next to no sauce. Not only does the chicken in the pictures look raw, it tasted it too. And have a look at that salad, I would be ashamed to give that to a rabbit!
The beef Udon was worse, it was essentially a bowl of overcooked spaghetti with the smallest amount of beef ever and served (you honestly get more beef in a hot pocket) in a luke warm pot of stock. Utter rubbish!
In my opinion the food is just horrendous.
Overpriced garbage.
Spend your money elsewhere.
