It’s literally a hidden gem. This sushi store is hidden away in a smoke shop with stairs to the right that leads up to their “hole in the wall” operation. They have a few seats available for you to eat your sushi but it’s largely a takeaway operation. If you need your ambiance, you won’t find it here. The price savings is passed onto your sushi and you will find very reasonably priced quality sushi. I still prefer the more extravagant omakase experience but this hits the spot at a lower price point if you are just in for a quick meal.

Incredible hidden gem. The sushi served here is great. Very delicious. We arrived 10 min before opening and they already had online orders piling up. You have to try food in this hidden gem! The prices are low compared to the quality. I enjoyed the premium sushi and premium sashimi platters. If you are lucky you can grab one of the few (3) tables and eat there, otherwise, it’s to-go only.

The quality of the sushi is very good, no doubt. It was delicious, but just make sure they give you your full order before leave. My order was missing one piece of sushi, my favorite piece too (ikura)!

Tiny, sort of hard to find sushi spot with only a couple of chairs in this windowless second floor space. Definitely more of a take out type of place. We ordered a couple rolls and sushi/sashimi. Quality is really high, everything tasted fresh and delicious. It’s a little bit on the expensive side but worth it for the quality of the fish!

I’ve never left a review so fast. I had the 35 piece nigiri platter and it was AMAZING. I’ve had sushi all around the world, and I can say this is number one!

A little difficult to find, but so worth it. The fish quality is incredible, and the rice is perfectly seasoned! I tried a very basic salmon roll, and the salmon was so tender and fresh. The service is also very efficient and so kind!! I definitely want to come back to try their lunch specials!

The best sushi ever. We have been in many sushi houses around the world and nothing compare to this one. The fish qualify is amazing, the taste, presentation value for money is incredible. Must must must have place

This place may not even qualify to be called ‘hole in a wall restaurant’. But sushi is great. Fish is fresh, supple, soft, with minimal fish smell. The fish texture on my tongue feels like a French kiss. I also like that the dipping soy sauce is not too sweet like most places. Ginger is not dyed. Staff is nice.

Incredible hidden gem in midtown, but not for long. Sushi 35 West is quickly gaining a reputation as a high-end sushi takeout spot without the frills of a sit-down restaurant. All those savings are passed on to the customer without any sacrifice to the quality of the fish. The sushi served here is incredible and you’re bound to catch some interesting characters given that it’s located in a smoke shop.

There’s very minimal seating, and it’s got no insulation – a total take out spot only. Quite pricy, but honestly, it’s worth the value. The quality of their sushi is amazing. The eel and mackerel are absolutely delicious. I couldn’t get enough of them.its on the 2nd floor above the smoke shop, so it can be tricky to find.
