Parking is located in the structure by the car wash as street parking is scarce. Food has an amazing taste that I have not had before. With a good fusion of Korean flavor. This time I got the reina arepas to go so they look a little floppy. The crunch from the corn husk with the savory taste of the chicken salad with spicy green sauce was great The owners are very wholesome and they’re Dodgers fans . The atmosphere of their spot is laid back and chill. I think they could use more comfortable chairs for the inside but still nice.

I’d tried Sus Arepas from their truck before and was so happy to see the opened their restaurant in City Terrace! Their space is so clean and welcoming, I loved all their decor and the details in the space. The food is also fresh, generous portions, and great prices. Can’t wait to go back!

Driving down the street I noticed a flag that said “Now Open” and realized a new restaurant had popped up in the area, Sus Arepas. I’m not an expert when it comes to arepas (I’ve only had them once before), but I remembered how flavorful they were, so I decided to give this place a try.

Parking was a little tricky to find, but once I got inside I ordered two types of arepas. One was loaded with meat, plantains, and cheese (I forgot the name but it was delicious!), and the other was stuffed with mozzarella cheese. Since I’m not a fan of cream, they gave me cream hot sauce on the side, which worked out perfectly.

Both arepas were crispy, flavorful, and absolutely hit the spot. I also tried a side of plantains, and they were perfectly fried , golden and on point. Everything I ordered was fresh and tasty.

The only downsides: parking was hard to find, and the restaurant was a little hot inside when I visited. Other than that, the food made it completely worth it.

I’m happy I found this place and I’ll definitely be coming back to try more of their arepas. The staff was very friendly ,Wishing them lots of success , they deserve it!

My wife and I have passed by this truck a few times. Every time we passed by we always said “one day, one day”. Today was that day and it was worth it. The food is great and, before you tell me anything about prices, understand that you’re not paying for the facility. You’re paying for the effort and passion that goes into cooking and preparing food from scratch. As a Chef myself I am very aware of this.

Between my wife and I we ordered the Plantains and garlic tostones. Everyone can relate to the anticipation of that first bite of warm sweet plantains. I had never tried tostones so I was really looking forward to trying them. When the magical moment came and our food was handed over, “wow!” l caught this incredible aroma of garlic wafting directly to my heart. I knew then and there that I had made the right choice.

For the Arepas we had
2 Pabellón (Shredded beef, plantains, black beans, cheese and spicy green sauce), one of them without the spicy sauce, 1 Vegan (Black beans, Avocado and plantains), and 1 Ktown (Korean pork marinated in sweet & spicy sauce, onions and cilantro).

The Ktown was my favorite however everything was great. Between the warm soft arepas, the tenderness of the meat, and the great crunch of the tostones, I have to say that I was extremely pleased and thankful that we finally pulled over.

Next time, I will be trying the chocolate con queso. I have to say the idea of it has really piqued my interest.

The original arepa was filled to the brim. Sweet plantains, cheese, and black beans. Not sure if it’s quite a $9 item but it was good overall. We’ve heard there are better arepas elsewhere but we’re still looking.

Service was fast. The atmosphere was busy.

Tried them at Smorgasburg and it was great! Definitely recommend the mozzarella cheese one and the best part was that it was gluten free!

This location has changed a few times over the years, and this is by far the best food that’s been here. Arepas are big and tasty, yucca fries are better than average. I’m also a sucker for Asian Latino collabs, so the Korean bbq arepa is a hit…
