had an incredible brunch experience at Surveyor. From the moment we walked in, the staff was warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive, making us feel right at home.
The food was absolutely outstanding:
• Steak and Eggs: The steak was cooked to perfection—tender, juicy, and seasoned beautifully. It paired wonderfully with the eggs for a truly satisfying meal.
• Crab Benedict: A must-try! The crab was fresh and generous, topped with a rich, velvety hollandaise sauce that tied everything together perfectly.
The combination of delicious food and such hospitable service made our visit truly special. I can’t recommend this place enough and will definitely be back soon!

Service is slow and sometimes it feels like they forgot you were there. Even trying to get the bill and leave took a long time. The smoked salmon I enjoyed. The hot chocolate was great. I also liked the interior design.

Was a guest at the hotel for a concert at Nationals Park the night before. This is a Hotel restaurant so my expectations are not that high. That being said it checked all the boxes. Honestly if the prices were better this would be a 5 star breakfast but at $92.00 for 2 people with no alcohol seems a bit much.
Service was decent, staff was friendly and I would go back!

We dined here with the free breakfast credit that included in our stay at Thompson. The breakfast menu was great, with vegetarian option ( Shroom and Green powerbowl were my favorite!).

Service charge/tips are included in the bill when you charged to your room, double check the bill before signing off.

If the restaurant gets busy it can be pretty chaotic!! When there is a line at the entrance with a mix of dine-in and to-go customers, no one at the restaurant is giving any direction or monitoring the crowd. Food is good and all, but service can definitely be improved especially with tips is included in the bill.

Food was decent, but service was atrocious, echoing most of the other reviews here.

I stayed at the hotel for three days, and as a World of Hyatt Globalist member, I got to try most of the entrées (complimentary one entrée and one drink for Globalists). My favorite was Shrooms. I was initially a little apprehensive as it’s vegetarian, but it was incredibly flavorful! The Breakfast Power Bowl was good too, though ask for the sauce on the side, as even without the sauce, I found it quite flavorful already. Parfait was waaaaaay too sweet.

However what ruined the experience was the service. Good luck trying to get any attention. The staff seemed to put in more effort avoiding guests than serving them. During “peak hours” (ie, 8-9am), the front desk isn’t staffed, so you have to wait perhaps 5 minutes just to get a table, when 3/4 of the restaurant is empty. During those 5 minutes, many of the servers would see you, but they would all run away.

During off-peak hours (ie, after 10am), the reverse happens. The staff stands at the front desk, but doesn’t walk the floor to serve guests at the tables, when the restaurant is much fuller. I waited over 10 minutes to get anyone’s attention, and ended up walking up to the front desk to place my order. You would think the staff would feel bad and come to my table, but she was perfectly happy taking the order at the front desk.

The restaurant might as well install self-service kiosks and get rid of half the staff. I think service would be much better.

Had two breakfasts here and my wife and I and we were absolutely thrilled with the meals. Her waffle and French toast were perfectly prepared with huge amounts of fresh fruit and real syrup. My egg breakfasts were perfectly cooked, home fries were loaded with tender and sweet peppers and onions and the sourdough bread was delicious. Highly recommend even if you aren’t a guest of the hotel. The staff in both the restaurant and the hotel are Five Star friendly and professional.

I was able to try quite a few dishes here when I was staying at the hotel. For a free hotel breakfast for Globalists, it was above average. Most dishes were good, but not memorable.

The crispy chicken sandwich from the breakfast menu and the blackened shrimp and grits from the brunch menu were probably the 2 best dishes I had. The chicken was fried well, a crispy light breading and juicy chicken, with a nice sweet and slightly spicy sauce. The shrimp had a good hint of cajun flavor and a nice sear.

The steak in the steak and eggs is marinated with a sweet, bbq like sauce. I didn’t get asked how I wanted it cooked, but it came out medium well and still tender in the middle. The potatoes that came with the dish were well seasoned and had a nice crispy outside.

The crab benedict was a miss for me. I couldn’t really taste the crab in the crab cake and the flavor was good when I had the first benedict, but by the second benedict, I felt like it was becoming too salty. The cook on the eggs were also a little inconsistent, one of the eggs was perfectly runny but the other was a little overcooked.

The parfait was a little small but I liked that there was berry puree to stir into the vanilla yogurt. I think it would’ve been better and easier to mix in a regular bowl instead of the cup.

The waffles and French toast were as I expected, the macerated berries made them pretty sweet dishes. I couldn’t taste the egg in the French toast though.

Food was good, service was slow, wait for table was very long, decided to make a reservation and came back at stated time, still waited some to get seated. Around 30 minute wait even with a reservation and the restaurant was approx 1/2 full. 1/2 the tables and the entire bar were not being used for seating. Drinks took way too long, coffee & red bull came after we finished the meal.

The brunch here used to be so reliable – good ingredients, fresh, always tasty. We would come at least twice a month for a neighborhood brunch. But in the past month the quality has significantly gone down. Menu items have changed or been adjusted with cheaper ingredients and it’s not worth the price point; and the taste isn’t the same. I hope they can get back to the quality they had before.

I don’t understand how this restaurant is in the 3 point range on Google. We dined here every day for one week while staying at the Thompson, and received free breakfast with our stay, I thought all the dishes were thoughtfully planned out, there was a range offered from vegetarian, pescatarian to meet. The service was great, sometimes when they got busy things got slow but still great service, the menu is WELL THOUGHT OUT, stand out dishes for me were the halloumi sandwich (ordered twice,LOVED the high protein addition of egg white omelette ), the fruit bowl was one of the best I have ever received st any resort, the range of fruit better than stays in Mexico of Florida , 10+ plus different times of fruit in my bowl, the chicken and waffles went beyond the ordinary with a savoury waffle infused with chives and corn, the steak and eggs coming with a delicious jus on the side, my favorite meal of the week though was the crab benedict it came with a Cajun hollandise thst had a great kick to it and bagel seasoning, truly unique and tasty, kudos to the chef and all staff , please give this restaurant a try for breakfast or brunch it deserved way better reviews than what I see
