Comment from Thai here. We tried Namtok which is really nice. Tom Yum has different interesting sour taste and heavy on evaporated milk but the shrimp is really really fresh. Pineapple fried rice has heavy curry powder scent but overall tasty. This is far from typical restaurants in Thailand but it will fix your craving. Staff are also very nice

The okay Thai food here.
If you just want to satisfy a craving for Thai food, this place can meet your basic needs. However, the flavors aren’t very authentic, and it’s still a bit far from truly good Thai cuisine. At best, it’s only suitable for fixing a quick craving.

I wasn’t sure what to order, so I asked them to bring me anything. Turns out, “anything” and “nothing” are the same thing to them as I sat there for 1.5 hours and got absolutely nothing. I’ll accept a language difference, but this is a level of incompetence I have not experienced in any country regardless of language.
You’re better off going somewhere where they realize people coming into your restaurant may want food. This was easily my worst experience while in Palau.

Best place we ate in Koror. We ended up going 3 times!
It’s not going to be the best thai food you’ve ever had, but it’s clearly freshly made, solid flavors and good variety of dishes.
If you have several days in Palau and are looking to satisfy a craving, you should go here!

Great Thai food and definitely one of the cheapest decent restaurants on the island. The soup and curries were the best. Portion sizes are large although the staff is friendly, they’re extremely slow. Pad Thai was a little lacking in terms of the protein. The starter seafood salad was also not that great.

The food is very good. Service is also really fast. Be careful with the spiciness levels. We picked “medium” and thought it was very spicy.

Ok at a minimalist level. The menu showed all of what you would expect. One downer being that not all items were available. Curry is my thing. Ordered it Thai hot. Spicy was ok, but not to my standards. I almost went to the Indian place down the street where the Vindaloo does not disappoint. Ordered the fried meat plate. Again ok. Nothing special. Had to add chili flakes in an attempt to kick up the heat. Just changed the color of the curry and did nothing for the meat place is not worth the $30+ for two plates and a tea.

I visited Palau for the first time in September 2024. Suriyothai Restaurant was recommended by others I know that have visited Palau. They said “Suriyothai had good Thai food, not too spicy.” I don’t like spicy food and I do like fried rice. I ordered Garlic Chicken Fried Rice and Tai Sweet Tea. I loved them both and loved how my food came in the shape of a pineapple. I appreciate how they had chopsticks and fork & spoon on the table. I still don’t know how to use chopsticks.

We went to Suriyothai after being recommended by other travellers and in the end was very disappointed that we didn’t go earlier in our holiday time or we could have gone back a few times. The food was completely delicious and fresh. The service was very friendly and we felt like they were very happy we were there and they could not do enough to help us.
Is not a fancy place but clean and neat and worth the trip for the fab flavours. Highly recommend!
