We had the most lovely meal at Surfista last night with friends. It’s a small restaurant with a cozy feel and the staff and owners were SO NICE. The menu is straightforward and the prices very reasonable. The calamari and meatball starters were great. Entree portions were large and very tasty. We also love that it is BYOB! As we stayed kind of late chatting the owner came over to check on us and told we could stay as long as we wanted and then offered us some of his homemade wine. It was excellent! Would give more stars if I could. Can’t wait to go back.

I would probably give them 4 stars but I don’t want to be the first one to do that, and my reasoning probably doesnt justify a lower score. My girlfriend and I (age 23 and 25) wanted to try this new Italian spot that we’ve been driving past all summer. We’ve heard great things about the food and service here and decided we’d go on a Tuesday, this way it wouldn’t be crowded at all.
We ordered the fired zucchini, spicy rigatoni and chicken Milanese. Everything tasted fresh and was exactly what we hoped it would be. The prices were very reasonable and our server Bella (we believe was her name) did a great job! She was extremely friendly and made sure we had refills and anything else we needed.
Our only big complaint from visiting here was the following: there were about 5 parties of 2-5 people sitting outside that night, and every other table was greeted by one or both of the owners. They were walking to every other table, socializing and we think they were passing out their homemade wine for every party to try. The owners must’ve spent at least 5-15 minutes at each table throughout their stay. Us: 0 minutes…no greeting, no conversation, didn’t ask how our food was, didn’t offer us anything like the other tables.
It upset us because from our point of view, it looked like they completely ignored us because of our younger age. Every other table had people roughly around 40-70 years old who were greeted and offered wine, while we were ignore because we didn’t fit in with that age group. I hope this is a stretch and just a mistake on our end but this did upset us to see everyone else get an “Italian family-style welcome” and not us.
We do plan to come back to try the other food and hope to at least get a hello from the owners!

This place is an absolute jem!! The sandwiches are authentic NYC Italian deli quality, mouth watering delicious! We ordered for 10 people and tried 1/2 the sandwich menu and they were all phenomenal!!! Top sandwiches were the #10 hot honey chicken, #9, #3 with fig jam but all were incredible! This place is our new favorite spot in the area!! They serve lunch and dinner! We will be trying their dinner menu this week!

One of the best new spots in the area! Every single dish was absolutely delicious – fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Portions are huge (come hungry or be ready to take leftovers home), and the BYOB option makes it even better. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and service was friendly from start to finish. We loved everything and can’t wait to come back!

so we stopped by this place tonight with a total of six of us we had the meatball appetizers we had the calamari there was pasta with sausage and broccoli rabe chicken, Parmesan eggplant and chicken française every dish we had was an absolute 10 the the service was fantastic. It actually started to rain. They moved our whole meal inside without blinking an eye. They were fantastic Jennifer Bella and Stephen. Thank you so much for wonderful wonderful service the owner or Kyle. What a great guy really enjoyed our conversation with him and his eye on perfection. We wish this establishment the most success. We will definitely definitely be back. Kudos to everybody there and especially the cooks.

We found Surfista Coastal Italian by chance and are so thankful! The food was outstanding. Calamari, Eggplant Parm & a rigatoni dish that would make Nonna proud. We “sampled” the house wine. It was amazing. I think we found our new regular spot. Loved talking to the proud owners. Thanks Surfista!

First time eating at this newish little place! We split arancini and fried zucchini for lunch. Everything tasted great and came out quickly. Nice vibe inside with outdoor seating as well. Highly recommend for a casual but quality meal. ☀️
