I’m giving this place 5-stars because there is so much to love and an incredible amount of effort put in here for families to have a great lunch and dinner experience after a long day at the beach – specifically the awesome shake combinations (cinnamon toast & berry blast shakes to name a few) and Mexican colas/blueberry, vanilla cream & orange sodas. The service and atmosphere here is also fantastic. The woman who took my order and worked the register also stopped what she was doing to come to my table to bring me my shake first right when it was ready, and then made a second trip to my table once the burger was ready. I ordered the “Jam Good Bacon” burger with cheddar & onion rings to dip in my delicious vanilla shake. The double burger patties are very thin. The bacon on the burger was thick and savory and the bun was toasted. Are there better burgers to be had at the Delaware Shore? Yes, but only in Rehoboth (The Blue Hen). This place is exactly what Bethany Beach needs instead of another overpriced Five Guys. I’m looking forward to visiting here again to try the chicken sandwiches and other exciting options on the menu. I wish this place was a bit bigger, as they also have a 3pm – 6pm happy hour. The bar is rather small, and I very much expect a place like this to have lines out the door in the summer. I was very satisfied with my vanilla shake & onion rings, plus the wonderful service. Surfin Betty’s is almost perfect. Recommended, with caveats noted.

Everytime I have eaten inside this place I always seem to have the same experience. Very nice people and service, but terrible overpriced food. I tried to give it many chances but today was the last time I order from there. I ordered plenty of different food items and they all are not worth the money.
I door dashed today and wanted some high quality tenders. I figured how can you mess up chicken tenders? Not only is this place expensive, so is DoorDash, so I was really hoping it would be worth it. Anyways, it came and when I opened my box, there is some weird black goo/sludge all over my food. Something with the oil? I don’t know. And no it’s not burnt pieces. Whatever it is, it completely changed the flavor of the food. Absolutely disgusting, and the fact it was all over the food I couldn’t find any pieces that were okay. I threw it out, and it’s an unbelievable that a place that is expensive and has a great atmosphere can make such terrible food. Really disappointed. Luckily doordash refunded me, and I am not the type to complain at ALL, but this has been way too many instances with this place.
I would really like to know what the sludge is. I’m sure it’s oil or something but it tastes terrible. Hopefully you guys get that under control or at least lower the price, because $18 for that is unbelievable. 🙁

Super good, can’t get enough of it, had to comeback the next day for another burger. I mean where can you get a pasture-raised burger that been dry age for 3 weeks? It had a lil funky you expected from dry age, very beefy, juicy and tender. Very rare! Love this place, atmosphere was normal but hey, you there just for the burger right? Highly recommended.

We tried Surfin Betty’s for the first time today & they did NOT disappoint! I LOVED the burger tacos! I’m hoping next time I come they’ll try something special for me. A local place in Elkton, MD makes these, but they cook the raw burger on the tortilla & it’s a GAME CHANGER!!! That’s the ONLY thing that could possibly need changed on these amazing tacos! We’ll definitely be back to try some more of their amazing sounding menu!

Took a drive over to Surfin Betty’s in Bethany for lunch. We’re always on the lookout for a good burger and chicken sandwich and they did not disappoint.
Service was wonderful…super helpful, patient and friendly. Present for anything we needed and just all around great.
Atmosphere is good, lots of 90’s music, multiple tvs showing different sports programs. Plenty of seating, most of it high tops. I can see how it could get pretty crowded and loud in here during the busy months though, as the tables are close together.
Now lets get to the food. We both got the BYO (build-your-own)…one burger, one chicken, fries and onion rings. The food came out very quickly and was hot and fresh. Rings and fries were not greasy at all…nice and crispy. Chicken sandwich was great, the meat was moist and flavorful and delicious. Burger is fantastic, double patty, juicy and messy in the best way possible. Portions are LARGE and for the price, definitely worth it.
All around, we really don’t have a bad thing to say about this spot. We will be back again…there are plenty of other things on the menu we need to try.

The burger had good flavor but i feel like the online ordering has to much going on repeat of questions it asked me In 2 different areas if I wanted a bun or not.my order was not correct at all I paid over 20$ and this is what my food looked like I did take the pile of chips out of the hot burger they were soggy by the time it was delivered maybe next time they can do better sucks I had to remake my whole order when I got it.

She said it was one of the best chicken sammiches she ever had, and that’s saying something.
I had BYO burger with American cheese, lettuce tomato onion and Betty’s sauce, and those onion rings. They were nice and crispy.
Without question that was the best burger I’ve had on the Delmarva Peninsula, at least within the last 6 years.

I went to Bethany Beach location today. Have wanted to try since they opened. Personally, I think their Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich is much better than Hattie B’s and/or Prince’s, both well known in Nashville!! The pasta salad is good….only needed a little salt… and yummy chocolate milkshake! They have nice adult beverages on the menu so I know I’ll be back at HH, 3-6 pm!!

I ordered a burger online, and it was ready really quickly. This is my first time eating a Betty’s burger, and I’d definitely come again! The burger was large and juicy. I liked that they offered a side of something other than fries. The potato salad side was a nice size portion and very good. I’m not sure how long they’re been here, but I’m happy I stumbled across them.

The fries are outstanding and I’m obsessed with the Boom Boom Chicken with Thai BBQ. The restaurant and bathrooms are clean and the servers very friendly! Give it a try 🙂
