We used to have our weekly dates at the Silverton location but moved to Barnegat a few months ago. We finally had time today to stop by for lunch and aside from the food always being amazing the staff was very nice. Think it was the manager, she had on a beautiful gold cross necklace, came over to offer our service dogs some water. Always love coming to Surf Taco!

No wonder this place is dying. Its not about the vibe anymore its about the money. At least close down so another company who actually wants good business in. This surf taco is trash.

I hate writing this but if I was the owner, I would want to know. And I’ll preface this with younger staff workers are not always conscientious but …..
It was 12:30 and the restroom trashes were full, the bathroom was unkept.
The floors in a corner booth that someone destroyed was left uncleaned for the hour we were there eating lunch. Food always on point by the way.
A staff member delivered our meal and didn’t take our number away from the table and when I was leaving and handed it back to a staff member she looked perplexed as to why I was giving it to her.
I sense a refresher training course is needed here for cleaning practices. I wouldn’t want anyone staring around aimless while there are dirty floors and tables that need tending to.

Living in and around Monmouth and Ocean county for decades, I’ve become a huge fan of Surf Taco, and have eaten at nearly every location (one more to try!). I love how consistent my favorites are across locations, I can always count on the food being fresh and delicious with very little variation. However, there are nuances in the service and attitude. I know we all have off days and it’s hard to always keep a smile when you’re working retail and food services, but I’m never anything but polite and respectful of everyone on the other side of a counter or phone. They tend to employ younger staff, which is also common in food services, but I hardly get smiles when I come to pick up at this location. I truly hope they have better days ahead and find happiness, or find a way to leave it at the door and not bring whatever ails them to work. Happy employees make tasty food. This location is middle of the pack among the 7-8 locations I’ve been to more than a few times each. I’m still coming back and hoping they can find a way to smile, if not for me, for something new else who needs it in their day. Little things…

Delicious fresh food, salsas and smoothies. Surf Taco has been a favorite of my husband and I for years now. The price of the food does not compare to the size burrito you get. This place is amazing. So many different options to choose from to fill whatever craving you have.
