Wonderful seafood restaurant with nice staff and excellent views of the marina. We dined here during a family weekend. We wanted to go somewhere that offered decent affordable prices, good food and a great atmosphere. We arrived to a full restaurant. The weather was very nice outside so we decided to eat outdoors on the deck facing the marina. It was getting close to sunset so that was perfect. Our waitress Maddie was very kind and knowledgeable about the menu and she offered some favorites. 2 of us ordered the broiled sampler, which was good except the shrimp were overcooked; Our waitress took note and the manager Mary came out and checked on us and she sincerely apologized and assured us that she understood and she had the kitchen prepare a fresh batch for us. The food was good; the service was fair, we did wait for refills quite a bit (as the cups were small), and the scenery was unmatched; as , did get to catch the sunset. Thanks to Mary, Maddie, and Dontay; and the whole Surf Rider staff.

I went in with 3 of my friends, Friday around 4:30. There was hardly any people there and we were able to sit outside. The service was very good and the food was on point! Fun fact, I love their broccoli and holandaise sauce. I got 1 lbs shrimp and it was fresh!

The food was perfect! some of the best I have ever had! the crab was incredible and their crab soup flavors were rich in texture and consistency. Also an amazing view from our seats and the waitress was awesome and kept our drinks filled and made sure to keep our table clean of plates that were finished. In my opinion the service is worth the prices you pay there. it was very clean as well. and welcoming.

My boyfriend and I are from Virginia Beach. We decided to take a trip and do some activities in the area, so for lunch we decided to eat here. We sat by the window which had a wonderful view of part of the marina. The food and drinks were delicious and our waitress was also amazing. We both got thr she crab soup, a crab cake, and the crab dip. Again, everything was great. I would definitely eat here again.

We had a fantastic experience at Surfriders in Hampton! The food was delicious, and the service was top-notch. Our waitress went the extra mile to make sure our kids got their meals first, which kept everyone happy and made the evening even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this place for families!

My recent visit was definitely not the best, I had the single crab cake dinner, the crab cake was not good, the only way I can describe it, it was gooey, or mushy, not much crab! It’s been a while since I’ve ordered a crab cake here but I remember it being very good in the past, not this time! My son had some sort of combination seafood platter that included a small crab cake, he didn’t eat much of the crab cake, said he’d never order that again!

Most excellent place to dine!! The food was incredibly delicious!! The crab dip is to die for Our server was very nice and right on the ball! The atmosphere was just perfect!! Loved having an Amazing view of the water!! We’ll definitely return! I highly recommend The Surf Rider!!

After golfing in Chesapeake Virginia area we stopped by this wonderful place based on recommendation from somebody we met at the golf course. it was worth it and everything was perfect. Food was excellent. The service was awesome and the location by the marina was even better. I highly recommend this place.

We enjoyed our meal and the view, service was top notch and the food was so good we didn’t eat until the next day. The calamari, crabcake and key lime pie were extraordinary. We will return to experience new favorites.
