First time at this location and our server was excellent and so sweet as she gave us all the little extra stuff we asked for, and the food was SO delish! We had:
– Fried shrimp: Hands-down the best fried shrimp in all of VB.
– Crab meat in butter: play pick out the crab meat for you and it just comes in a pan and I poured the butter over it and squeeze lemon, and it was absolutely delectable. Plenty of crab meat and had to take some home!
– Corn pudding: Delish!!
– Hush puppies: Best in VB!
– Caesar salad: Fresh & crispy, got dressing on side & it was good.
– Mud pie: Best I’ve ever had anywhere, and it’s just this huge piece of chocolate deliciousness!
Wish I would have gotten the server’s name as she was so good, she had brown hair to her shoulders with a cute surfboard necklace. She was kind and patient, and went over and above to get us all we needed!! I highly recommend and will be back for sure!

I will not be returning to this establishment . Two Saturdays ago my family of 7 and I were visiting Virginia Beach for a track meet and we decided to get dinner at this location. We were seated immediately and ordered several appetizers, alcoholic beverages and entrees. My wife order a frozen rum runner, but could not muster the taste because she said it tasted like cough syrup. So we asked could we swap out the drink for something a bit more pleasing.
The server removed the drink from the table and returned a short time later and stated, “we can’t remove drinks from the “TABLE.” Which was interpreted by my wife and I, that once the alcohol is purchased it has to stay on the table and not removed. We proceeded to order another beverage and finish our meal. When the check came, the rum runner that we did not drink was still on the tab. The waiter went to the shift supervisor to get the drink removed and she advised that they could not remove it from our tab. Ok fine, I then asked could they just replace that drink with another beverage. Again, the answer was “No, you can buy another drink.” After spending $302.13 at this establishment this service was very distasteful and I will not be returning. This is poor customer service at its finest and this is not how you treat customers that spend their hard earned money at your establishment.

Nice location, next to a long strip of shops. Was greeted immediately by the hostess and sat very quickly. Waitress got our orders in and the food took a normal amount of time to be served.
Meals were excellent. Great taste. Good portion. Fair price.

Surf riders food and service is always consistently good and consistent across all their restaurants. I like the daily specials and their normal manu has something for everyone and is reasonably priced. The best thing about this location is their outdoor seating and the patio being dog friendly.

Heather was our waitress-she wonderful and the food was amazing! The house salads were fresh with house-made croutons and dressings. The crab cakes were delicious, the shrimp was seasoned with enough Old Bay to make a Marylander happy, and the fried flounder was fluffy yet crispy. The entire family couldn’t get over how delicious everything was, how reasonable the portions were, and everyone felt stuffed!

Came here for dinner after attending an event at the convention center…very convenient location. We arrived around 4:30, so very early for dinner. No problem finding a table! We have enjoyed dining at other SR locations and this one was up to our expectations. Good food and quick service. My wife always gets the fried shrimp and it’s always good. I had the flounder sandwich…i think they gave me the whole fish in between the bread roll. Plenty left over for lunch the next day. We’ll be back.

We stopped here for lunch and watch some football., we ate off the lunch menu, everything we had was very good. We had the flounder, crab dip, sweet and spicy chicken, and tuna bites. All very good and all our plates were cleaned. We left there full. We will return.
