Wow, this was the best sushi and ramen I’ve ever had! The atmosphere was awesome, and the staff were super friendly and attentive. Definitely a must-visit if you’re craving authentic, delicious flavors. I tried the spicy noodle soup and the Specialty No. 2 sushi roll with fried shrimp — both were amazing! The hibiscus cocktail was the perfect touch.

You wouldn’t believe it. The seating doesn’t look like a lot from the door, but it did not escape us that the wait line never extended beyond three parties. It was so amazing how efficiently the restaurant is run.

The food came out very quickly and we had the Shoyu Ramen and it was very nice, not too greasy or salty as a lot of knock off Ramen tend to be. This was a light aromatic Ramen that was delightful.

We also had the takoyaki appetizer, which did come out after the Ramen, and it was light and delightful. The brown sauce they put on it is simply great and truly tasty.

This is a cozy restaurant on the corner. The f staff was very friendly and got me sat down quickly.

The menu has reasonable prices for NYC. The food quality was great. I had the 12 hour pork ramen and the meat was so flavorful and the noodles were cooked to perfection.

I also got a sushi roll which I enjoyed, it was a spicy scallop roll.

The whole place looks clean, smelled good, and would be a great place to regularly go eat if I lived locally.

Best sushi we’ve ever had! Chicken gyoza was so good. Udon bowl was incredible. Spicy tuna, avocado roll and yellowtail scallion were top notch. Service was amazing. What a find for a meal prior to a concert at Terminal 5. Fantastic pricing as well! Highly recommend.

Definitely recommended! Had to go back the ramen was so good (not a local). Excellent customer service zero complaints. Food came out quickly and the food itself was amazing. Atmosphere, clean tidy, not too loud, not dead silent. Everything was just right. Got the edamame, served hot and with salt just the way I like! avocado crispy rice and the shiromaru classic ramen.

My apologies. I thought I was reviewing Nizuc the way Google popped it up. I ate at both restaurants. Let me fix the review.

Suram Sushi & Ramen is the GOAT. Of the 3 places I ate Ramen at in Manhattan, this place was #1. Everything was delicious. 10/10 would eat here weekly if I lived near by.

If you’re going to eat here, definitely make a reservation. That’s how I ended up at Nizuc when I tried to eat here the second time. Got lucky on my first attempt.

Below is my original post for Nizuc next door to Suram… Keeping it here so you can see my edit.
Not bad. A little pricey for what you get. Ribeye was really thin and could have been a little more seasoned. But not bad. Service was great. Atmosphere was cool.

Returned to try Tonkotsu ramen. Not bad. Soup is not Ichiran/Ippudo style thick, but lighter feel not bad.
Roll 5 salmon and salmon, tuna, avocado hit the spot. Rock shrimp tasty, good starter. Sashimi well made.

Looking out the window noticed the namesake… SUshi & RAMen… clever.

My new favorite Japanese restaurant in Hudson Yards area, also whole of Manhattan!

Food recommended were crispy rice for hot appetizer and yellowtail jalapeño for cold. Paired so well with house sake carafe!!!

Sushi and sashimi deluxe, soyu ramen (will try tonkotsu next time) nice umame with mushroom slight flared up taste even with chicken.

Topped them all was Kiki (sorry if I botched the spelling of your name) very caring and attentive.

Food is relatively fast. Plenty of bar seats after work gyoza, Asahi and ramen affordable as well as numbered rolls.

Crowd keeps on rolling in at 8-9pm. So, reservation recommended. Such a nice vista both from inside and outside.

Pricing is reasonable not crazy. $9 beer, quality entree in $20 range as well. Possibly partly why +4.5 rating holds up while some other Japanese restaurant nearby can’t.

Stopped in for a quick bite and was blown away by how well-executed everything was. You can tell there’s real technique and thought behind each dish.

• Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice
Hands down the best crispy rice I’ve ever had. The flavor profile on the spicy tuna had a deeper umami I couldn’t put my finger on — in a good way. The sauces balanced perfectly with the crunch of the rice, making each piece hit with layers of flavor.

• Salmon Carpaccio
Expected a standard ponzu but was surprised with a balsamic-based sauce that paired incredibly well with the salmon. The hint of truffle oil added depth without overpowering the dish. The sliced onions were refreshing and not too strong, rounding everything out beautifully.

• #6 Roll
A really unique sweet-savory combo. The tobiko added a perfect popping texture that contrasted nicely with the soft scallop. Not something I would’ve chosen myself, but Chef Franky recommended it — and he was absolutely right.

Service was great across the board, and the drink selection was solid. I only had time for a few dishes this visit, but I definitely want to come back for a full meal (especially the ramen). If I had more time, I would’ve tried half the menu.

Chef Franky is a great guy and clearly puts care into every plate. This spot is worth a visit — and then another one.

Great little sushi and ramen spot. I had the sushi and sashami with a spicy tuna and ramen. Great flavors in everything, presentation was nice and great service. They were quite busy at 5pm on a Sunday. Recommended

I highly recommend this place! I had a 1.5h bus layover at Hudson Yards and came here for a quick bite before the second half of my trip. The atmosphere was calming with nice music playing, the servers were very friendly, and the food was delicious!! The fish was fresh and the rice was perfectly cooked and seasoned. 🙂 It’s a bit pricey but it’s worth it. Everything I bought below (water, house hot sake, miso soup, delux sushi platter) was $65 after tax and tip!
