This place is almost unreal! The owners are playful and awesome. The quality of ingredients usually shakes out in the food. This place it definitely shows. It was absolutely tasty and such a throw back to the way my grandmother and mother made pasties. The coleslaw and feta pasta salad are also a worthy mention. Location, maybe it’s only draw back. Not because it’s a parking situation or anything but because it’s kinda hidden. You can kinda overlook it in a plaza that already has a few food options. If they were in a stand-alone building more visual from the room, I bet they’d flourish. So if you’re looking for something away from the Greek coney Islands or pizza joints, this might just be your place!

I never heard of pasties until last week, during my first time in Michigan. Found Superior Pasties and came in for an educational dining experience. I’m so sorry I forgot the name of the owner. But he patiently explained to me the correct pronunciation of pasties, not pasties that dancers wear, hahaha
He had me laughing, and we had a great conversation.
I got the Shepherds Pie and the Polish Pasty.

First time trying this place out and it is amazing..I went with the superior steak pasty with gravy and the chicken broccoli and cheese pasty.i don’t regret stopping here the food is all made with fresh ingredients and it tastes like home.❤️ Will be coming back for more.oh and it’s very affordable

My first time enjoying a pass tee. I got to learn the history of it and how the miners wives would put their initials in the pasture and the pastie would have the meal and dessert in it. The crust was typically thrown away. It served as a hands free germ free way to hold your food. Lisa was charming delightful and all the food is made with and like the way grandma made it. My family has been buying pasties here from probably 6-7 years. I have never been disappointed and the food is delicious. I love having a pasty spot so close to home. We usually get traditional steak or the shepherds pie. These hold their own against some of the best in the UP in my opinion.

When a customer from the UP, who spent eight years at MTU, offers to help a newbie at Superior Pasties find what she’s looking for, and says theirs are best pasties in Michigan, ya gotta believe him. He was absolutely right. No more trips to the UP just for pasties. I bought the Original Steak, larger size. We thought they were the best we ever ate. We’ll be buying them, frozen, by the dozen.
