Superette is worth going out of your way to visit for the short rib sandwich, which is ridiculously good. Tender meat, soft bread, fatty avocado, a bit of arugula greens so you don’t feel too terrible about yourself, and a bit of garlic aioli to round it out. Delicious waffle fries on the side. The service is always friendly and quick. A true gem of the neighborhood.

This is the best sandwich shop in Arlington! Have been 5 times and the service and food remains the same; 5 stars! The burger was perfectly seasoned and cooked, the Cubano had moist juicy pulled pork, the short rib sandwich is the best (in my opinion) on the board.
The last server we had was Becca and she was awesome! The cocktails were something you expect from a very urban, young chic bar. I was surprised how great they were. This is definitely my go to spot!

This spot is located in the food hall in Ballston. We enjoyed the pastrami Reuben and the short rib sandwich, both were pretty good. The pastrami and short rib were good quality and tender. I wasn’t a fan of the homemade potato chips but the fries were good. Overall I would recommend! A bit heavy for me personally, but a nice treat!

This place is official. The service was great and the food was sensational. Our host, also named Alex, was outstanding. When we first passed by, we asked about the Cuban sandwich and his response was amazing. We were so impressed that we decided to eat there for lunch.
When we returned, Alex greater us with a smile and suggested the Short Rib sandwich. He told us about the marinade process the meat goes through and I was sold. I got mine with fries. Toasted roll with Chipotle airlines, Avocado, arugula and an Ancho Chile Braised and then Pulled Short Rib topped with Gruyere cheese….. that sounds right up my alley.
Let me tell you the fries were cooked to perfect, such so that I finished 3/4 of em before taking a bite from the sandwich. The Short Rib sandwich did not disappoint. It was packed with layer upon layer of flavor. Such a great sandwich that I just had to rave about it.
The only thing I regret is not taking pictures. Some of the other items I tried were the Home-made, hand-cut chips. They were light crispy and full of flavor. For dessert I went for the Deep fried Oreos. Fenominal. My co-worker and I tried the Chocolate Bread pudding and were just blown away by the awesome goodness we had just experienced.
This is a great place to grab a bite and really enjoy a simple lunch. Top 3 in my sandwich spots List.

Had an amazing dinner here! My husband got the daily special steak and cheese with fries, and I got the short rib sandwich with house ranch chips. We both loved our meals! We were able to taste the sangria with our meals and it paired well with both. Not normally a huge sandwich girl but can’t wait to come back and try more. Customer service was outstanding and prices were much better here than the other ballston quarter options. Also, love the aesthetic here. Talked to the owner and it’s clear that everything’s made fresh and a lot of work is put into the food so it’s not just your average sandwich.

Yummy yummy! I’ve been wanting to try this place for AGES and finally got the chance to, first let me start off by saying the staff is absolutely amasing and so sweet, appreciate all you guys do. As a foodie/ content creator I usually know right away what I want to eat but this time after looking at their menu for literally months still couldn’t decide..SO I asked them to decide for me which turned out perfect. The short rib sandwich was probably some of the best short rib I have had, it almost melted in your mouth and the waffle fries paired so well. I ended up also getting a steak and cheese to go for my partner to have at home (which of course I had a bite from) SO GOOD!! Superette never misses. The short rib was tender and full of flavor, and the cheesesteak sandwich was packed, well-balanced, and seriously satisfying. Easily two of the best things on the menu.

Everything we have ordered from here has been superb! So far we have tried all of their cocktails and loved them (my partner likes the “Que Chido!” and I like the Gin Punch. I also liked their specialty soda, an Agave Vanilla. Their sandwiches are also juicy and delicious– both the classic Suprette Burger and the Reuben. Their cookies are also really good– nicy and chewy and flavorful. This place is a bit hidden in the back of the Ballston mall foodcourt, but it’s very cute and has inside and outside seating.
Basically we look for every excuse to try new things from here and hope they stick around!

Tried this place for the first time tonight and was not disappointed. Short rib sandwich was delicious – really happy to see a sandwich place in the area that doesn’t skimp. Loads of meat and toppings. The side of chips were really good – not too salty or over-flavored (I chose the ranch). Sangria was good – boozy which is preferable. Even the bread pudding was good – not too sweet but not too bland which is a common issue. Definitely recommend checking them out and trying the above. I’ll be back to see how the other sandwiches are for sure.
