I went here for the first time today because i wanted to try it out and it was terrible. I asked the person working if they had a kids menu he said no so I asked how big sizes were for spaghetti and he told me “he cannot give me the dimensions of the food” I thought that was really strange. The spaghetti barely had any sauce on it and the meatballs were super hard. I got my fiancé an Italian beef and I got a Reuben with a pasta salad. It all came out to around $40 which is pretty pricey for a sub place. The worker forgot my pasta salad so I had to go back. When I got home I realized he also forgot my Reuben. At this point, I’m just done with this place because there is no reason why I was the only person in there ordering food and he forgot two things. I called back and he laughed at me and told me that “I never ordered a Ruben”. Even though the price of all of the food equal out to what I ordered. Customer service was terrible and he was extremely rude.

Ordered the catering beef and meatball subs and the beef sandwich tasted exactly like it did when I was a kid growing up in Hammond Indiana. If you want a great beef sandwich in nwi Super Subs Valpo is the spot! No tootsie roll paper but the taste alone brought back nostalgia!

• Watch out for a credit card fee even if paying with cash! Called the owner when we discovered it on the receipt. He apologized and gave us the option of refunding the fee, or giving a $10 credit. We opted for the $10 credit. Used it soon after and guess what… another credit card fee when paying with cash. How many customers did this happen to, I wonder
• Walked in and all you are hit with is a swimming pool, bleach smell
• Food was expensive! Sure, the portions were decent. I got 2 portions out of 1 sandwich. We ordered 4 sandwiches & 2 cookies on sale, and it came out to be about $60. I think I’d rather go to Panera or Potbelly’s for that price
• Taste was ok. They claim the Reubens beef is made in house…idk it seemed stringy and chewy. Plus it made me have digestive issues (whether that’s a personal thing or due to their product, idk). When we got home we discovered some toppings were missing from a sandwich. Didn’t want to make the drive back for some topping I could just add on at home
And service was good from the cashier. The one making our sandwiches didn’t seem too thrilled

I went to Super Submarine deli to pick-up sandwiche at 6pm in Valparaiso. The person there told me they were out of bread. I was actually shocked. Because it was only 6pm and they closed at 7pm. I decided to check the online ordering. I placed an order online and went to pick-up order it was ready for pick-up. I reminded the same person I was just there 15min ago and was told there was no more bread. The person told me she needed to make sure her kids eat for the night. I understand kids have to eat. But, this is a place of business. What poor service!

Wow! Beautiful shop, the bathroom, I know who comments on a bathroom? But I assure you it’s worth noting. I’ll include a picture of the walls all the way around. I’m attaching a panoramic. Now back to the classic Reuben, stacked, on marble rye, sauerkraut Thousand Island cheese on both sides. The woman that was there helping the other staff, knew everything and was so pleasant. Absolutely delicious so many options and make sure you follow their Facebook page for any changes. Absolutely fabulous experience.

Better options in Valpo, don’t waste your time.
I always went to the Super Subs old location with my family growing up and was happy when it opened in valpo. NOT ANYMORE! Wish the owners knew how their company is represented
1.Bread was stale, turkey had a weird smell, service AWFUL and the whole place smelled strongly like bleach when we walked in. It was so strong it took away my appetite.
2.The male worker on shift was extremely unprofessional and honestly made the whole experience uncomfortable contributing to the low service rating. I think he is some sort of manager? Weird vibes, weird dude.
After reading reviews I can see others have had similar experiences. I can’t help but wonder if the manager is the one running the replies on here too, the rude tone matches. (See food pricing review reply)

We went on a Friday evening and were the only customers dining in while it seemed many other restaurants in the area were packed full. The place was very clean and the staff was very friendly, but the sandwiches were just not good at all for what they cost. The bread was just off or something like it was stale. We also noticed a nasty sewer smell as well like someone else mentioned in another review recently. I’ll just say the food was bad enough that we won’t be coming back..
