Service was great. The woman who took my order was nice and offered me a full bottle of red salsa. She also gave me two cups of green salsa when I asked. A highlight of this taco shop was the salsa—both the red and green were delicious and the perfect consistency. They weren’t overly watery or too tangy.
As for the bean and cheese burrito itself—it was pretty good for about the first half. The second half had clumps of unmelted cheese, which wasn’t great. However, the beans were tasty and consistent throughout. One other issue was structural: the burrito had a decent-sized hole on one size, so beans would ooze out as I took bites.
Overall, burrito was decent, price was good, and service was nice. I’ll have to come back and try out some other options to see what the place can offer.
Update: Came back a few nights ago with a friend. We both ordered California burritos. Overall, they were all right until about halfway through, when we reached the grease that had run down the inside of them burritos. They were super greasy!
The guacamole and salsas were good, but man were these burritos greasy. I definitely won’t be ordering that again—or coming back for a while. Don’t get me wrong—the staff are great and very nice, but sometimes these burritos just have serious issues.
You get the value for the price in the burritos if you want a quick fix. Each side of the building has a drive thru. Plenty of covered seating.
I ordered a Super Breakfast Burrito, add sausage. The burrito was not the same size and quality as breakfast burritos from Tom’s or Tam’s in LA/IE, I pay less for. I was charged $2.79 extra for the sausage! It was added to the burrito minced up, and I can hardly taste it. The salsa added some much needed flavorful spiciness.
The service was OK, and the wait time was reasonable.
This is a good spot to go to when you’re drunk at 2:00am after being at the bar/club, or smoking out in your mom’s garage. And, if you’re desparate for the late food, and don’t mind paying more than usual for your “munchies” fix.
Enjoy…
I been monitoring his scam for months. If you don’t believe me try ordering something and see how much he over charge. Make sure you pay cash.
