Super Pho is a well known local restaurant appeared on Local- Kine Biz, Local Television and other Hawaii Business. Angel Le Tran bought her first restaurant in 2003. She named it Super Phở “because I wanted it to be the best”. The store on Waialae Avenue is so popular with the best Pho in town serving on marble dining table and off-white chair color. “I love cooking and making everything good for customers”, says Angel Tran, Owner, Super Pho. “It’s from my heart”. “Vietnamese food is very well balanced and healthy for you because of herbs, veggies and Pho, and it’s very popular. I always love trying new dishes”. “We can make a dish to your personal preference, such as less oil, least sugar and no MSG”.

We had Lunch at Super Pho .The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The food at the restaurant was good and the waiters were polite. We did try 7 course the Beef , it’s was the best dishes we had in a long time …lol…will be back soon , recommend for everyone come and try .

I had a wonderful dining experience with my spouse at Super Pho Waialae. From the moment we arrived, the friendly staff made us feel welcome, and we were seated right away. The restaurant’s cleanliness and festive Christmas decorations added to the warm and inviting atmosphere.
Our food arrived promptly, with generous portion sizes and exceptional flavor. Everything was absolutely delicious! I especially enjoyed the coffee, which was outstanding.
I have no complaints at all and I’m already looking forward to my next visit. I highly recommend Super Waialae. Enjoy!

2025: We came for a sit-down experience early on a Tuesday for dinner. We were the first ones in around 5:30pm. The green papaya salad is still good (love the fresh basil). The spring rolls were so tasty. I love that it’s served in a similar style to when we travelled in Vietnam (pickles, lettuce, mint and rice noodle). The chicken wings were okay. 4.5 stars overall for the food. 2023: We took the food to go. Loved the green papaya salad which had nice shrimp and pork alongside the tangy shredded green papaya topped with peanuts. The vermicelli (bun) dishes did not disappoint either. The grilled pork was very flavorful (as if it was cooked on a grill outdoors) and the egg rolls were done well with a nice filling.

Good food, yes, with my bowl of sweet-and-sour catfish soup being filling and flavourful, though a bit too sweet for my taste. I loved the young taro stems that comprised part of the vegetable mixture. My dining companion got a beef stirfry, and enjoyed it very much.

If i could give 0 star I would. We found out they were re-opening so i took my wife for lunch(take-out) We ordered three things bbq chicken plate, bbq pork plate & chicken sandwich. We both got one drink each. Upon entering the restaurant we noticed a sign saying that all orders will get a 15% off discount till October 3rd. I confirmed with the cashier on the discount and she approved. When I got the bill , my total amount due was close to 90$. I was puzzled , as we waited for our order I grabbed a menue and did the math. Turns out I got charged over 15% more than my actual total without any discount. My actual total should be around 70$ and with the 15% off, total balance due would be around $60. When I confronted cashier she tried to blame the taxes for why its so high, she also confirmed again that the $90 price included the 15%. After going back and forth with her and explaing that i am a business owner myself and am aware of what the current hawaii sale tax amount is , she then backed off and gave me the price without the 15% off and my money back. Also I paid in Cash! Im very sad and upset with this experience. I have been eating here for years and it seems everytime I go, im getting ripped off. But not today. Never going back. She also got my order wrong. Im not trying to be a pest but this has happened more than 3 times. So thats why were here posting to inform others of these actions. Be aware of these folks

It’s been a while since I had great vietnamese food this place definitely hit the spot.
The only thing I would say is this place is a tad bit more expensive then the usual norm.
Catfish braised stew was so good literally best I’ve had in a while. Would 100% order again. It wasn’t too salty or sweet and had a nice depth of flavor. Fish was tender also like how it should be.
Catfish Sour Soup was very good. Kind of wish it was more sour for my taste but the Pineapple added in the dish makes it a bit sweeter which is perfectly fine and still delicious.
Beef and Lemon Salad was a nice appetizer to start out with. Very refreshing and the beef wasn’t overcooked and the sauce was just right.
The Durian Milkshake had real durian in it and the Pandan Drink was very good 5 stars on the drinks
Downside of these dishes
But Bo Hue just tasted like spicy noodle soup. Doesn’t really have that bun Bo Hue taste if you know what I mean. Wouldn’t order again.
Next the Spring Roll for $12 was not worth the price. Tasted like average spring rolls and the peanut sauce on the side was average
But I would definitely recommend the dishes I spoke well of in this review you won’t be disappointed.
