Very beautiful restaurant! My boyfriend and I both got the Build Your Own Bowl option (not the all you can eat option). I found it to be a little confusing since I’d never been here before. To make your own bowl, you tell the server what rice/noodles you want and they give you a ticket. Then you go up to the buffet area, get a bowl and tray, and pile in the bowl what raw ingredients you want cooked for you. I chose mushrooms, onions, zucchini, beef, and one little cup of teriyaki sauce and one of brown sauce. I probably should have put even more beef in my bowl, since it is completely customizable. Then you give the tray and ticket to the chefs and it comes back to your table with whatever rice/noodles you asked for (I chose white rice). Mine was super delicious and everything was perfectly cooked and hot. It was much better than I expected it to be, and the sauce choices mixed really well together. My boyfriend put sausage, squid, shrimp, egg, mushrooms, onions, and green onions in his, and they have tons more options as well. Definitely interested in coming back, possibly for the all you can eat too. And kudos to those chefs back there for being able to perfectly cook up whatever wacky things we choose!

Super Bowl Mongolian Grill and Sushi – Loves Park, Illinois

What a great find in Loves Park, IL! The restaurant is bright, clean, and beautifully decorated with cherry blossom accents and warm lighting that create a relaxing vibe.

The all-you-can-eat Mongolian grill and sushi is totally worth it. You can build your own bowl with fresh veggies, noodles, and meats, and the chefs cook it right in front of you — full of flavor and perfectly done. The sushi rolls were delicious and beautifully presented — especially the Volcano Roll and the Angry Dragon Roll.

The server went above and beyond, making sure we had everything we needed and that our experience was great from start to finish. And they even use a robot to deliver the food — such a fun, futuristic touch that makes the dining experience extra unique.

Service was friendly and fast, and the place feels welcoming for both families and small groups. Prices are reasonable for the amount and quality of food you get.

I’m definitely coming back!

I’ve been wanting to try this place and I was absolutely not disappointed! The atmosphere is beautiful; clean, bright booths, beautiful cherry blossoms hang from the ceiling. As soon as we were seated, our server Eric came right out with waters and a decanter. I loved this set up. The cups and decanter are insulated and we never ran out of water. Eric explained the menu and helped us pick out the perfect sushi roll. He then explained how to do the “make your own bowl” option. We had fun picking out our own noodles/rice, veggies, proteins, and sauces. We went back to the table while the chefs cooked up our bowls. The coolest part was the cat robot who brought our bowls to us! Everything was excellent, especially the service! We definitely found a new favorite place!

I’ve been here several times, and it’s always great! Delicious and great variety of sushi, and the grill is of course fantastic.
Keep in mind that they get very busy in the evenings, so you may have to wait for a table. And the sushi understandably takes time.
But it’s so worth it! Absolutely can’t beat that AYCE price.
The staff are also all wonderful, including the robot cat. 🙂

My spouse and I have been waiting for thia place to open, so we were super excited to check it out with our 5 year old. I will say that my initial shock was how heavily they leaned into the sushi but, in all honesty, its not a bad idea. I also like the fact with that they tell you that, with the AYCE portion, you will be charged a fee for any food left uneaten.

We opted for the the All You Can Eat. Our server (didnt catch his name) was amazing and super helpful. Gave us suggestions and answered any and all questions. This man was amazing and even chatted with our kid.

The appetizers we had were delicious (chicken tempura, gyoza, and Japanese spring rolls). We each grabbed a bowl as well, and then ordered 3 rolls of sushi. Everything tasted great. The sushi did take a little bit to come out but the place was busy, so we gave them that leeway.

Like I just said, the place was busy. Not too crazy but busy. A few parties had to wait to be seated but it wasnt egregious. Especially so soon after a grand opening.

Also, while it may be a gimmick, I thought the little cat robot bringing plates out was pretty cute. My child found it amazing and spent some time watching it move around.

It is worth the price for the AYCE, especially loading up on sushi. Keep that in mind when coming out. We’ll be back with bigger appetites.

Very clean place. I love that their food is fresh, especially the make your own bowl ingredients. If youre doing a bowl, they give you a ticket you bring with you to the build a bowl area, then you grab a tray and a bowl under the counter. Once you fill the bowl and grab a sauce to put on the side, you leave the ticket with your bowl and tray on their counter for them to make it.This is my 2nd time visiting and I still love it lol. 10/10.
