There’s a great wine selection and the food is amazing, so we ended up ordering a lot from the menu. Best approach is to order a bunch of dishes and share.
Don’t skip dessert either, the homemade coconut ice cream and mango sticky rice were fantastic. The crab curry was the standout and honestly one of the best I’ve had anywhere in Thailand.
Highly recommend, but book well in advance via email.
Supattra Thai Dining is truly something special.
I was lucky enough to get a table last minute due to a cancellation, and it meant more to me than words can say. I had been here before in September 2024, together with my husband. Returning in January 2026 — this time unfortunately alone — was emotionally important to me, and I was welcomed so warmly by the owners in person. That kindness and recognition made the evening incredibly meaningful.
From start to finish, the experience was once more outstanding. The atmosphere around the open kitchen is intimate and engaging — you really feel the passion and precision behind every dish. The service was attentive without ever being intrusive: glasses were refilled at exactly the right moments, and every dish was explained with genuine care and knowledge. That’s outstanding staff.
The food itself was exceptional. Rarely do you find ingredients this fresh and flavors this refined — from the kitchen creations to the dessert, everything was perfectly balanced and thoughtfully prepared. You can truly taste the love and craftsmanship in every bite.
The wine selection deserves special mention as well: a beautiful choice of natural, biodynamic and boutique wines. Starting with a Prosecco and continuing with a wonderful Rosé made the evening even more special.
Supattra Thai Dining delivers exactly what it promises: a unique experience. It’s not just a restaurant — it’s a place where passion, hospitality and excellence come together.
Highly recommended. For sure make a reservation, because it’s absolutely worth it.
From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, taking genuine time to talk us through each item on the menu, line-by-line. Their knowledge and enthusiasm really stood out – they listened carefully to our personal tastes and made thoughtful recommendations, never once making us feel rushed or like they were trying to turn the table quickly for the next booking.
It’s worth noting that the menu isn’t fixed and varies based on the ingredients available, a purposeful choice to ensure freshness and quality. While we’ve highlighted specific dishes from our visit that may not be available when you dine, the standard across everything we tried was so consistently high that we’d be completely confident ordering anything else on the menu.
The food itself was exceptional. The chicken satay starter was outstanding – beautifully tender, full of flavour, and easily one of the best we’ve had. The phanang curry was rich and perfectly balanced, while the southern curry wrapped in betel leaf was a highlight. A huge plus was how happy the kitchen was to customise dishes to our individual spice tolerance, which made the experience feel even more tailored. On the first bite, we noticed something telling around the room – diners
instinctively looking at their companions with shared, wordless recognition of “this is really good” – something we found ourselves instinctively echoing.
For wine lovers, Suppatra Dining is clearly a fantastic choice, with a wide and well-curated selection available. While we’re not wine drinkers ourselves and didn’t take the opportunity to try any, it was obvious from those dining around us that many were thoroughly enjoying the wine pairing experience.
Dessert somehow raised the bar even higher. The coconut ice cream was genuinely the best ice cream we have ever had – unbelievably smooth, fragrant, and perfectly balanced. The Toblerone mousse was equally impressive, with a great balance of thickness and richness without being overpowering.
To top it all off, the chef personally came out to check that everything met expectations, which was a lovely final touch and really spoke to the pride taken in both the food and the overall experience.
Suppatra Dining isn’t just a meal – it’s an experience done properly. Unhurried, thoughtful, and absolutely delicious. Highly recommended.
If you’re searching for truly exceptional Thai food on Koh Samui, stop everything you’re doing and come here!
The dishes are pure magic – full of flavor, authenticity, and so much love that you can taste it in every single bite.
Fresh seafood, incredible sauces, perfect seasoning… every plate felt like a personal invitation into the heart of Thai cuisine.
It’s honestly beyond me how this restaurant doesn’t have a Michelin star yet – because if anyone deserves it, it’s Supattra and her fantastic team.
Speaking of which:
I had the honor of meeting the amazing chef herself – and as you can see in the photo, even my little travel buddy Batty couldn’t resist jumping onto her shoulder for a picture!
Her warmth, her passion, and her smile say it all: Supattra Thai Dining is not just about food – it’s about heart.
This is now officially my new top favorite restaurant on the entire island.
The combination of incredible flavors, heartfelt hospitality, and genuine passion is simply unbeatable.
Five stars, two thumbs up, and if Michelin needs any help choosing their next awards – they should start right here.
Thank you for an unforgettable evening, Supattra!
Can’t wait to come back.
They take the time to explain every dish and it’s a nice place to go when you want to have a nice long dining experience.
The restaurant is quite small and intimate.
This visit was just as fantastic.
The food quality, taste and presentation are outstanding for the price.
Really delicious, interesting flavour combinations that feel like a fresh take on Thai classics.
We LOVED the Crab curry, and the Funny Balls were delicious. Supattra is a genius!
Great selection of signature cocktails and Thomas has an extensive wine cellar to choose from.
We had fantastic service from all of the staff, all of whom were very knowledgable about the daily changing handwritten menu, made us feel so welcome and were keen to ensure we had a great experience.
We will 100% be back (again!)
A personal walk through of the menu, next level Thai dishes focused on local seafood and a curated wine list makes Supattra Thai a must-do.
