Found another gem!!!!
Sunshine Pizza!!!!
East meets west!
Yes, a zen pizza place.
Delicious handmade dough, 100% real mozzarella and everything is made fresh to order.
Atmosphere: It is calm and serene. (Yes, a pizza place) I was so relaxed I started writing this review…
Service: The employee Cat is smart, sweet, genuine, helpful, courteous. She keeps the restaurant so clean and is proud of the quality of the food, ingredients and the craft it takes to make it.
I asked regarding peak times they are only at heavy lunch periods and when the neighboring school lets out.
Stopping in was such a wonderful and delicious relaxing surprise.
Sunshine Pizza is definitely a unique shining star of pizza.
Thank you Sunshine Pizza
Enjoy!!!!
Because of good review I ordered the 14” ultimate online, but regretted as soon as I stepped inside since there was no customer. The place is typical pizza place with few tables and not much of atmosphere. I brought the pizza home. I finished all of it at one sitting. I found a new favorite pizza place!!! If you are a pizza lover then you should order from Sunshine pizza. You will discover a new favorite pizza.
ps. One star is to get your attention.
I ordered a small pepperoni pizza for myself because I do not always enjoy what my wife likes on hers. The wife got the small Hawaiian delight. As a person who gets plenty of fresh home baked breads, the dough stood out immediately. The chew, the flavor, the balance of the sauce, it was all there. The marinara was hearty and garlicky, not some cheap canned sauce. I did the usual pizza stringy cheese test and got that awesome stretch of freshly melted goodness. The pepperoni were of excellent quality. This isn’t some industrial void stuff, this was the kind you get at your local Italian deli with the guy who tells you too many stories you didn’t ask for but you listen because the cured meats are legit.
We sat in the restaurant at the limited seating that was available. I think this place works great as a carryout joint anyway. Real chill spot. They have some drink options available but not fountain drinks. The place looks spotless, like the owners care a lot about keeping their place tidy.
The owner Cathy is a total gem. She was super nice and very informative about what the ingredients are and how they are sourced. Spoiler: it’s all fresh. She was very excited to have us try the dough. Which ,I have to say, makes the pizza the best.
I can’t wait to be back in the area and give the calzone and wings a shot. Wish the best for this new spot. Great location and even better ingredients.
