The best spot in Lansing over everyone else. The Greek omelet is fire, my personal favorite. And the corned beef hash. No other spot is quite like this in Lansing. I have watched them grow from a small breakfast joint to getting a lunch and dinner menu and extending their hours of operation. I love when the cooks are jamming and singing, and so do my kids. Coffee is great. Staff are the best. I have NEVER been disappointed here. I will suggest Sunshine over and over and over again.

Awesome breakfast spot. Rosa’s service was friendly, attentive and fun. Hats off to the cooks. The steak was delicious, pancakes big and fluffy, hashbrowns golden, scrambled eggs just right. Clean restaurant, spacious seating, decent parking spaces and pleasant employees. The cozy restaurant opens at 7 am and closes at 2 pm. I will be bringing family and friends here when I am in Lansing.

Food okay. Service was good. Hash browns were cold. Not even warm in the slightest. Doesn’t make sense if they are coming straight off the grill…

I had the “Off the Griddle” Meat Lovers for my first visit to Sunshine Diner. Pretty much a skillet breakfast with everything in one. A very tasty and large portion with hash browns, meat, eggs, cheese and sausage gravy. I had already had a few bites before I realized I needed to take a picture. A pretty good value considering the portion in today’s prices. Booth and seating has seen it’s better days. Service was fair. I will be back to try something else, or get this large skillet breakfast again.

Old school awesome diner, enjoyed the time there. Guys serving there were sweet and ready to help.
Also they were accommodating to changes in our order.
We reached at the peak busy time on the Sunday morning but still things were proceeding smoothly.

The Sunshine Diner: Home of the Heavenly Greek Omelette

Nestled in the heart of the Lansing, this hidden gem welcomes you with the comforting aroma of home-cooked meals and the promise of a hearty breakfast. It’s a place where the coffee is always fresh, the smiles are genuine, and the Greek omelette is the talk of the town.

The Greek omelette here is a masterpiece of simplicity and flavor. Packed with feta, spinach, and sausage crumbles, each forkful is a celebration of freshness. It’s all enveloped in fluffy eggs, cooked to a delicate perfection that’s both light and satisfying.

But it’s not just the food that makes this place special; it’s the people. The waitstaff, always attentive, treat you like family, often remembering your name and your order after just a few visits.

Whether you’re a regular or just passing through, The Sunshine Diner is a culinary delight that shouldn’t be missed. They offer dishes that not only fill your stomach but also warms your soul.

Waitress Tori was very nice, fast, and professional. Free wifi with password. Owner chatted with me very politely a moment while I looked over the grill area.
Music was a bit too loud for a business. Keep volume down unless no customers sitting in lobby, its unprofessional. Owner works right beside the crew…well done ! Lead by example
2 cooks , 1 manager, 1 waitress, and 1 dish-prep at 1025am Monday. I observed one negative practice but it was not a critical one. Train your crew well and observe them . Toast is buttered with grill grease ( most all places do this ) so ask for it dry if preferred. Drinks get refilled in a timely manner. CB hash was cooked perfect, eggs , cola, and toast very good. Crew is happy and works well together. Nice coat rack , mens restroom is clean , smells nice, well stocked, and decorated kinda cool . The regulars are happy and friendly. The front counter seating is really nice for lone diners. Priced higher than competition see receipt pic ! No Vet discount give US Veterans 10% off , jeez. I will try this place for lunch sometime but I will not be returning for breakfast much. Google assistant does call them to verify if it’s busy

Closest Lansing has to an authentic coney. Amazing breakfast and lunch.

This spot never misses, with friendly chefs and waitstaff, tasty food, and hearty breakfast at a decent price.

Forget those expensive eateries. Take your money here!

my family comes here every sunday to see sarah, and obviously our food. Sarah is an amazing person and she always makes sure we leave full and happy. The two cooks that are usually there during the morning on sundays are very good at what they do.

That burger with the BBQ sauce was one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. And the curly friends are great as well.
